Re: The Book of Upside Down - Final Editing
"Carol Anne is not like those she's with. She is a living presence in their spiritual earthbound plane."
-Tangina, Poltergeist, 1982 Among the many things Stranger Things borrows from is Poltergeist. The Upside Down is kind of like Poltergeist's between-life-and-death plane. In the movie, Carol Anne communicates to her mother through a TV with the help of the psychic Tangina. In Stranger Things, Will communicates through electronics like lights, and through a walkie talkie with the help of the telepathic Eleven.
Spoiler Alert!
Perhaps it should be something like: Figures on Upside-Down spaces are considered to be on any battlefield occupied by any opponent's figures that are not Manifestations. This way you can't auto-lose by having an all Demogorgon army start in the Upside-Down, and split-battlefield victories won't occur unless something crazy happens, like the last figure in the Upside-Down Portal Escapes to a completely empty split battlefield and wins/loses by split-battlefield points. Since UD figures are now technically on both battlefields, would also be cool to have something like, "Figures on Upside-Down spaces and figures on another battlefield cannot target each other for any attacks or for any special powers that require range or clear sight." Might allow for some cross-plane communication like in Stranger Things/Poltergeist. |

Re: The Book of Upside Down - Final Editing
Demogorgons counting as being on both battlefields means you can just park one in the Upside-Down and the opponent can never defeat you. Add in a Jason type who can keep coming back and you'll win eventually.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Upside Down - Final Editing
Maybe "Opponent's figures"?
We have the first one starting in the start zone now so that's not an issue any more. |

We're just waiting on art, right?

Re: The Book of Upside Down - Final Editing
Thought there was an issue about split battlefields or something, but if it works as is, cool!

This is why you're not invited to the Con this year ....
(hope you come next year, though!) C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
