Old Raelin or New Raelin

who do you think is better, the new ralein, or the old one? I have to say old, the extra defense is killer.

Well, I like the new Raelin better, she will be better able to participate in battle, however, I think this subject belongs in the 'Official Units' section.

They serve too different a purpose to choose from. It's like choosing between Marcus Decimus Gallus and Q9 - you can't choose, they're too different.

I voted old as I prefer leaving things as they are and using plastic for all-new figures....

Old Raelin is infinitely better, no question. She's a streamlined, well designed figure. New is kind of vanilla and a bit mediocre. Has an attack power, but crappy stats for the frontline. Has a defensive aura, but only +1. New is ok, maybe even good to some, but old is simply more useful.

The new Raelin is better in dif situations for example if your playing an offensive army or melee army Raelin's extended aura helps to give defense more often when you don't have time to move her.
But of course if your defending a castle or have a bunch of ranged figures the old Raelin is way better. She just sits in the back as your figs fire away at the enemy.

Well, the new one costs 50% more than the old, so I'll just take a wild swing guess and say the new one is better.

You mean in combat, right?

Oh, I bet you mean FOR THE COST. Well, the old one then.

And which do I like better overall, as in, best compliments the game? The old one. I like Raelin the Merciful. In fact that's what her name should be.

But here's the real poll question: do you like the fact that they issued new versions of Drake and Raelin and Q9?

And no, I don't. Why did they do it?

Why confuse us as to who Drake really is?

Why create a totally new character and call it Raelin?

Why take the uber-killer and make another version of him, and make it so you can use both Q9 and Q10 on the same team, but you can't use both Raelins or both Drakes?

It's all very puzzling, and it just doesn't make sense.

I like new Raelin because now she is more geared to be part of a battle instead of a flying glyph. She still has enough lives to hang in there and she can use her flying to get height for a better defense and attack and take advantage of that +1 attack to attack multiple opponents in melee. She's more of a warrior now than a Q9 booster that I've seen a lot.

The old Raelin is much better, I think. She costs less and 2 defense is better than one.

Grim, Q10 is not a remake of Q9... he's Q10. Hence the 10 rather than a 9.

Okay, I thought you meant that he was an upgraded version of Q9 in the sense of the new Raelin and new Sergeant Drake. I do agree that they are very similar.

Hmm, you think 10 would be stronger than 9 though. Maybe Deathwalker 10000 will be worth 60 points.
