Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Sabretooth
He does rather thirst for a vII that can do something against Wolverine.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Sabretooth
Feral Instinct isn't going to happen often, and it forces you to roll 1 fewer attack on the extra attack(s), so not super great.
His Special Attack has to be on a non-adjacent figure, thus once he's engaged he has to take LEAs to use. If he doesn't destroy the figure, he takes a wound, which takes away any healing benefit he would have gotten that turn(in addition to any LEA damage). All this for a little extra movement and +1 attack boost. Healing Factor X is decent, but much like Wolverine, it conflicts greatly with Professor X armies, which are generally the best Mutant armies. Personally don't ever draft him, and outside of going all-in on a Healing Factor X army(especially if you do teams with it), I don't think he's that worth it. But, FTR, I also don't rate Wolverine as highly as most others, either, so there's that too. 3/C+ |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Sabretooth
Yeah, the extra-attack-on-destruction thing doesn't tend to pan out that well. Carnage around the same price point gets to add to his attack number with each destruction vs subtracting and it's still not great.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Avalanche
Kinda weird that he encourages you to have some beefy dude of your own to hit with the SA (or a few fire ants to sacrifice) to move people up early. But he is a bad guy.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Avalanche
Yeah, that wording would definitely be better. Anyone who wants should feel free to update that.
Definitely triggers on hitting DO's as well, yes. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Avalanche
In terms of ratings, Avalanche is pretty faction-dependent and while his powers are useful, they have a pretty limited ceiling.
3/C+ C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Avalanche
I think with the movement being tied to an OM but him being relatively squishy / not someone you want to be taking turns with all the time, he definitely wants like Sage or Commander Rodgers or something like that around.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Avalanche
Yeah I feel like if we made him now there would be no OM restriction.
