Re: The Book of Indigo Lantern (Ray Palmer) (Breathing)
NAME = INDIGO LANTERN
SECRET IDENTITY = RAY PALMER SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = TRIBESMAN PERSONALITY = COMPASSIONATE SIZE/HEIGHT = TINY 3 LIFE = 2 MOVE = 4 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 6 POINTS = 170 INDIGO POWER STAVE 1 Start the game with 1 indigo Battery Marker on this card. Add 1 to Indigo Lantern’s Range and Defense numbers for each indigo Battery Marker on this card. A LITTLE COMPASSION... Before an adjacent Unique Hero that is not tiny takes a turn, if Indigo Lantern did not start this turn on an Army Card, you may place him on that Hero’s card. After a Hero that has Indigo Lantern on its card is moved or would be destroyed, you may place Indigo Lantern on the Army Card of any Unique Hero adjacent to that Hero. While Indigo Lantern is on the Army Card of a Hero and not destroyed, before that Hero takes a turn, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 4 or lower, place Indigo Lantern on an empty space adjacent to that Hero. If you roll 14 or higher, that Hero may not inflict wounds with an attack or special power during its turn. GROWING COMPASSION While there is an indigo Battery Marker on this card, if a Hero with Indigo Lantern on its card would be destroyed by receiving one or more wounds, instead of placing those Wound Markers, you may remove all indigo Battery Markers from this card and place Indigo Lantern on an empty space adjacent to that Hero. Re: The Book of Indigo Lantern (Ray Palmer) (Breathing)
To me it's that main power and the ability to passively move him up and then shut down a key enemy's turns on a 14+ that will prove his value.
I almost worry that with the last power you'll be paying for an option that you won't want to use, but I suppose you could park him on a passive defensive figure that doesn't need to ever activate its special powers and use him as a failsafe to keep them alive. I think the offensive/disruptive approach is probably the more powerful one, though. I can get mini pics of this guy if you need them. Excited how this fills out the Indigo booster a touch more! C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Indigo Lantern (Ray Palmer) (Breathing)
Just for clarity, the roll is a may, so putting him on your own ally card you wouldn't have to roll. It's also designed in a way that enables him to easily bounce back and forth between cards. For example, get him on an ally who charges into melee. Then jump onto the enemy. Attempt to disrupt that enemy. If your ally engaged with that enemy is knocking on death's door, or if you fail to disrupt, you can jump him back onto that ally for the save. Then once that is spent, get him back onto the enemy.

Re: The Book of Indigo Lantern (Ray Palmer) (Breathing)
Gotcha. Yeah, I missed the "may" part. The way you explain it I could see him getting value for the different pieces, yeah.
Calculator has him at about 190 for me, but I realize 2 Life is going to make it risky for him to be priced too high. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Indigo Lantern (Ray Palmer) (Breathing)
Interesting design. I like the modular nature, either play angel on someone's shoulder or essentially become a bulletproof vest. Not sure about the theme of it, but he showed up in like one issue that I've never even read, so I figure we can play loose with this one.
I might suggest that the second power go with something like this: "If you roll 14 or higher, that Hero may not attack or use any special power that targets an enemy figure this turn." Which shuts down like 90% of powers, but it helps sell the theme of compassion a bit more, which is nice. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Indigo Lantern (Ray Palmer) (Breathing)
We can roll with a verbiage tweak like that to allow special powers that aren't directly harming someone. Maybe something as simple as "that Hero may not inflict any wounds this turn".
