It's supposed to be a wordplay, as the Incubus is a actual demon that wants her specifically.

Just read the bio and now I want to know more!!! Will she return with a team of allies? Did the government lie to her and she must instead assemble her own team? Will the team succeed in defeating her demon? What happened to her brother, surely he isn't the same kid after all this time....and don't call me Shirley.

My bio essentially leads directly into Suicide Squad Vol 1 #14-16 'The Nightshade Odyssey' if anyone wants to check out the story, also available as a collection (along with a few other issues) under the same name.

Interestingly, her origin story is basically unchanged from her original Charlton Comics days; so those issues are resolving a dangling plot thread from over 20 years previous.

Quick summary under spoilers:

Waller does eventually allow Nightshade to take the team after a close call with the JLI and blackmail from a crooked Senator make it seem like the Squad's day might be numbered. Though they're missing Flag, because he is recovering from a throw down with Batman, and Nemesis, because he is escaping from Russia, and they only have Boomerang because Bronze Tiger got him black-out drunk and shanghaied him. Upon arrival in the Land of the Nightshades, they're basically immediately captured and the Incubus explains that:

A) He had taken over her brother's body when he was first abducted, so her brother has effectively been dead for 15ish years and the whole endeavor was rather pointless.

B) The Enchantress's power, and fits of power mad craziness, actually comes from the Incubus's sister demon being sealed inside her.

C) The Incubus wants to put his sister inside Nightshade, then sleep with her. The resulting double incest baby would allow the Incubus's demon father to return from banishment.

The Incubus does manage to remove his sister from Enchantress and put her into Nightshade, but Nightshade is able to resist the possession and starts fighting back. This causes the entire Nightshade dimension to destabilize, and it only gets worse when Deadshot kills the Incubus with a bullet to his host's head, so Nightshade teleports them out to the first place she can.. which turns out to be a different weird dimension Shade the Changing Man has been stuck in since Crisis on Infinite Earths. At this point Nightshade is unconscious, but Shade is able to get them back to Earth after reading her 'vibrational frequency' (or some bs like that).
