Re: Dallas Area "Official" Tournament structure
Mark is just dragging. We've been talking about setting up the spring tournament and at this point we are just waiting to get a date from Madness.
However, a team tournament might be a strain on our player count. We may end up running a draft tournament instead. Dignan's Maps - Dignan's Multiplayer Maps

Yep I'm dragging. Is 3-pack draft cool?

Re: Dallas Area "Official" Tournament structure
Tentatively yes for me. My oldest son has a JDRF Ball that day. I don't know what that means or what that entails, but so long as it doesn't interfere, then I'm good.

I believe it stands for "Jagged, Dangerous, Rusty Fire Ball." Have fun!

Re: Dallas Area "Official" Tournament structure
No conflicts with the date. I'll check with my other players. I don't recall how a 3 pack draft works. Could you describe that again?

Re: Dallas Area "Official" Tournament structure
Here's the thread from what I believe is the last time we did the "pack draft": http://www.heroscapers.com/community...ad.php?t=30067
The short version is you and your opponent bring three "points" worth of figures. A master set is worth3, a booster is worth 1, big figure sets like AA are 2. You and your opponent combine the figures you each brought into a single draft pool and using the rules in the RotV book, you draft army cards until you have both drafted an army according to the TO point size (last time it was 400). The figs are placed in your starting zone as they are drafted, so there are some interesting plays there. It adds a little time to each round, but it makes for some REALLY interesting armies. You see a lot more Heroes, squads aren't nearly as powerful. And there is a lot to consider when deciding what you will bring to the tourney. It was a lot of fun. Re: Dallas Area "Official" Tournament structure
That is pretty much it. The BftU master set will count as 2 though.
I have submitted the request for space and I will have the thread up later today. |

I should be able to make it but I dont know how many people I hustle together to bring...
We shall see and I might even be able to bring 3 new players! Should be fun right? Excited, and ready for another tourney Baxter |
