Godzilla marauded in, destroying glaciers and trees in his path.
They engage for some impressive swordplay from Surtur, who brings Godzilla to 13 life, negating Godzilla pretty consistently. But his intense heat was just hot breath to Godzilla, who stomped him down to 8 life before retreating to height with some fancy footwork, shaking Surtur's confidence. Surtur didn't pursue the opportunities his Sword granted him, and retreated instead to lure Godzilla back to height disadvantage. Unfruitful, as Godzilla had no trouble making dying embers of Demon.

I pretty much guaranteed myself the loss when I failed to realize I could have attacked Godzilla from 2 spaces away, forcing Godzilla to move back down to even height to attack. From there, I could have strafed around to height again. But we'll never know if Surtur could have chopped through that 13 life before Godzilla did away with the 8.

I took an early loss vs. Splash, but it was a close game! Superboy-Prime survived at 1 life, but he hadn’t used his Retcon Punch yet.

I defeated quozl with just Spider-Man (3w) and Crystal (1w) still alive.

Wow, so two games went down to 1 Life?
That is pretty awesome and really speaks to how well C3G is balanced. Especially in this format.

I've been soundly defeated by LV - an army built around picking on weaklings did not fare well against Apollo and Midnighter. I took down one Beat Cop and put 4 wounds on Midnighter.
