Re: "I could beat that army!" Theoryscape Challenge
Quote:
Sgt Drake Alexander SotM 170 Thorgrim 80 Sahuagin Raider 25 5 hexes 500 pts Engage Bram with Thorgrim & Jotun. Add Thorgrim to Jotun's card once he dies. Hopefully Jotun will overpower Bram, and if not then Drake should finish the job. Use Drake as cleanup, his Thorian Speed ability will prove valuable. Sahuagin Raider is filler, but can contribute with a one-time attack of 5 (6 with height) dice on an injured Bram. |

Re: "I could beat that army!" Theoryscape Challenge
Quote:
Theracus ----- 040 Morsbane ----- 100 Omnicron Snipers x2 ----- 200 Omnicron Repulsors x1 ----- 040 Isamu ----- 010 14 hexes/490 points Theracus flies the Major in; the Major locks down as many enemies as possible, hopefully killing the Raider as well. Morsbane negates Thorgrim and Drake while the Omnicrons gain height and shoot Jotun to death. If the Repulsors are positioned right, the Snipers should have at least one turn to benefit from Targeting Beacon. Once the giant is gone, the remainder turn on negated Drake (and the Raider, if it's still around). If Morsbane failed, Isamu can lend a hand. Re: "I could beat that army!" Theoryscape Challenge
Protectors of Ullar x1 : 110
Sentinels of Jandar x3 : 330 Deadeye Dan : 60 Total Hexes : 13 Total Points: 500 Fly sentinels into position, try to keep them on height and away from repulsors while slowly closing in on the snipers. The ridiculous power of deadly shot should have a hard time getting through the even more ridiculous power of the sentinel's shields. If opponent tries to fly out x17 to lock the sentinel advance down, send the protectors to some height and take him down. Deadeye Dan can be used whenever an opportunity presents itself. Morsbane is a wasted 100 points in this battle, and the snipers just don't get enough attacks per turn to endanger the sentinels. |

Quote:
Legionnaires x2 100 10th Reg x4 300 25 hexes 500 pts Drop a 10th Reg. Create a Roman shield wall between the Sentinels and the Musketmen, keeping MDG close to the ranged support. Use the 10th Reg to take out the Protectors and Deadeye. The remaining Sentinels will fall to MDG and his soldiers. |

Re: "I could beat that army!" Theoryscape Challenge
Quote:
Marrden Nagrubs x2 ----- 060 Syvarris -------- 100 Krav Maga Agents --- 100 Marcu Esenwein --------020 12 hexes / 500 points Tor-Kul-Na smashes up the Romans' Shield Wall, using Trample Stomp to bypass the defensive bonus as well as breaking up their formations to soften them up for his normal attack. If he's still around once they're dead, solo Marcus shouldn't be too much trouble. Syvarris out-ranges the 10th to avoid their attack bonuses, aided by the Agents, who simply don't care about Wait Then Fire. They can then finish of Marcus if necessary. Marcu plays emergency clean-up. |

Swog Rider x2 50 Krug 120 Sgt. Drake Alexander SotM 170 Eldgrim the Viking Champion 30 Isamu 10 18 hexes 500 pts Send Eldgrim out as bait/glyph grabber, place him on Sgt. Drake when he dies. When TKN shows up, use the Gruts & Swogs with Krug to eliminate him and his grubs. Use the speedy Sgt. Drake to seek and destroy the remaining ranged support. Re: "I could beat that army!" Theoryscape Challenge
Crixus: 90
Major Q9: 180 Capuan Gladiators x3: 210 Marcu Esenwein: 20 Total: 13 Hexes, 500 points This army deploys fairly quickly. Get crixus and most of the gladiators to cover, but keep them within range of the battle of Q9 needs help. Use Q9 to rain havoc on the weak gruts and drake. When opponent gets desperate, he will have to send in Krug as the Q9 buster. When this happens engage him with as many gladiators as possible + Crixus, and unleash the hurt on him. You will probably lose some of your gladiators, but 3 attacks of 3 + Crixus should be able to handle him. Deal with eldgrim and isamu as necessary. Marcu filler should beat Isamu + Eldgrim filler anyday. |

The Axegrinders of Burning Forge x3 210 Master of the Hunt 140 Guilty McCreech 30 Isamu 10 17 hexes 500 pts Use Master of the Hunt to take out Q9. Send in the Dwarves to take care of the Gladiators. Use Guilty and Isamu as cleanup. |

Skull Demon (C3V) x2 ----- 130 Vulcanmech Incendiborgs (C3V) --- 180 Isamu -------- 010 12 hexes / 500 points Send the Incendiborgs to grab height, then roll out the Death Knights and Skull Demons to wreak havoc. There are no Unique Heroes for the Master to use his Mortal Strike, Soul Weapons make One Shield Defense a lot less useful, and the Skull Demons bond with and boost the Death Knights while their Frightening Presence negates the Axegrinders' fearless Advantage. |

Ashigaru Yari x3 120 Ashigaru Harquebus x3 180 25 hexes 500 pts Drop a Yari. OM management is a breeze. Send the Yari to the front lines while simultaneously grabbing height with the Harquebus. The Ashigaru's numbers and potential 8 attacks per OM should wipe out the demons without a problem. Use the remaining Ashigaru to overwhelm the Incendiborgs. |

Re: "I could beat that army!" Theoryscape Challenge
Quote:
Zettian Infantry (C3V) x2 -- 130 Fen Hydra x1 --------------- 120 Kaemon Awa ----------------120 10 hexes / 500 points All of Kato's pals have a Defense of 1, so 8K ought to shred them fairly easily. He just barely outranges the Harquebus, but between his own SA and bonding with the Infantry, he should do fine. Awa and the Hydra can mop up Kato, and take out any leftover squaddies if 8K bites the dust early. |

John Varan (c3v) 250 8th Infantry x7 (c3v) 470 Guilty Mcreech 500 Sgt Drake strips away the Hydra's biggest advantage by simply being more mobile, ranged, and un-reachable. John Varan can also take the lead, since wounds only amplify his Battle Valor. A large group of Firefighting 8th infantry will quickly defeat the Samurai and any other unlucky robots. Guilty does his thing if he needs to hit the table. My customs. NE Ohio Tourney - TBA SW Ohio Tourney - NHSD 550 points AotV - Colliding the minis of AotP with the world of HS. |
