Hmm, now I'm swinging towards trying 9 defense. If it's too much or too swingy in playtesting I'll take it down to 8, but I'll at least give it a shot. It's an easy dial to tweak.

Nobody commented on mini preference (double meaning intended) so I'll go with #1 for now.

I'm only 2 tests in, but I think double turns with Green Lanterns is simply too powerful. GLs already have incredible offense and defense, and a double turn a round absolutely annihilates opponents due to the amount of attack dice being thrown around combined with the insane mobility GLs have.

I think OM management for GLs is enough of a benefit by itself, so my current plan is to change this power like so, and change points to 300 for a new set of initial tests.

Waller chooses Hal as the priority target. Guy moves up. Rick Flag & Bronze Tiger move up. The Guardian uses a double turn to actiavte Hal & Guy, who manage to kill Bronze Tiger. Guy can’t overextend since an OM wasn’t revealed on his card, luckily. Capt Boomerang takes a battery off of Hal, then Deadshot is blocked. Guy puts 2 wounds on Deadshot, then overextends to finish the job. Harley is blocked, then Capt Boomerang puts a wound on Hal.

Waller chooses Guy as the priority target. Capt Boomerang puts a wound on Guy, then Harley makes Guy burn a battery marker. The Guardian uses a double turn: Hal puts 2 wounds on Capt Boomerang, then Guy puts 3 wounds on Harley. Harley makes Guy burn a battery, while Boomerang disengages Hal and burns another of Guy’s batteries. Hal takes a disengagement wound to re-engage Capt Boomerang but is blocked. Capt Boomerang is blocked, then Harley kills Guy. Hal takes out Capt Boomerang.

Waller chooses Hal as the priority target. Harley is blocked. The Guardian takes a double turn so he can move up and Hal is blocked by Harley. Harley makes Hal burn a battery. Hal is blocked. Harley burns another battery. The Guardian now attacks and is blocked.

Waller chooses the Guardian as the priority target. The Guardian uses a double turn to kill Harley himself then sends Hal to put 2 wounds on Rick Flag, then Hal activates fearless charge to finish Flag off. Waller is blocked. The Guardian puts 2 wounds on Waller. Waller is blocked. The Guardian finishes Waller off.

I’m impressed with the Guardian’s showing so far; double GL turns is really strong and the OM flexibility is useful. I’m going to raise points from 270 to 320 for the next tests.

Mk 5 & Hulkbuster advance. Kilowog uses GL Leadership twice. Mk 5 wounds the Guardian, then Hulkbuster makes Kyle burn a battery with a 6-skull roll. The Guardian does a double turn, taking out Mk5 with Hal & Kyle.

The Guardian does a double turn: Hal puts 3 wounds on Hulkbuster while Kyle is blocked. Hulkbuster attacks the Guardian and is blocked. Hal spawns a GC Shield next to the Guardian then wounds Hulkbuster. Hulkbuster is blocked. Hal wounds Hulkbuster again. Hulkbuster gets a great attack roll and takes out the Guardian.

Hulkbuster engages Hal and wounds him. Hal takes out Hulkbuster. Mk4 moves up. Hal puts 3 wounds on Mk4. Mk4 uses the Uni-Beam (5 skulls) which Hal blocks with a battery marker. Hal takes out Mk4 to end the round.

Mk2 is blocked. Hal puts 3 wounds on Mk2. Mk2 is blocked. Hal is blocked. Stealth Suit is blocked. Hal takes out Mk2.

Over the next 2 rounds Hal takes out the Stealth Suit without taking a wound in return.

So that change would bring constructs back into play basically, right? I can dig it. I still think there's something to be said for a fun once per game take a turn with a bunch of GL type of thing, but maybe that's something for Ganthet.

Green Constructs were already in play due to the OM-moving part of the power (which also enables stuff like Guy's overextend). During the double turn those things wouldn't work since the OM was revealed on the Guardian's card. I'm just cutting the last line from the power.

That's a good idea for Ganthet; I wouldn't mind him being super expensive. I'd probably make it work with Blues too if we did that for him.
