Well. This wasn't pretty. Any changes or suggestions before doing the Squad and Army tests?

C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Solomon Kane

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.
PASS, I really like the theme of how his fury gives him an additional two attacks as well as the base attack boost, and prefer it to the original auto-skull.

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.

- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit to powerful or too weak.

- POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any.
PASS, he’s strong with units that boost his attack, but then every figure with Swordplay is.

- FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play.

- FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against.
PASS

- DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting.
PASS

- USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable.
PASS, Keep the Faith obviously doesn’t get a lot of use, but it’s still a nice, light thematic power.

- STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game.

Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? NO
- What should be the unit's point value? ???
- Give a brief overview. Kane wins 2/12 fights. Yea, this was not pretty. His attack was rarely high enough to get through the defense of his enemies, even with the multiple attacks, and when it was the figure he was fighting usually had a high enough attack or fighting abilities to just take Kane down.

Units: Solomon Kane vs. Batman (Terry McGinnis)
Batman flies in, uses Tactical Comlink, and oneshots Kane.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Batman: 0/4 Wounds on R1, T3

TEST 1.5
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Batman (Terry McGinnis)
Same as before, only I rerolled the attack and defense. This allowed Kane to last another round, and put some wounds on Batman.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Batman: 3/4 Wounds on R2, T6

TEST 2
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Batman (Terry McGinnis)
Because of reasons this was my last Heavy Hitter test. Similar to last time, both people came towards the center, which led to Batman kicking Kane halfway across the map. No whiffs, just a standard fight.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Batman: 1/4 Wounds on R3, T2

TEST 3
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Crimson Dynamo
Yet again, Kane gets two all skull rolls in a row, but this time Dynamo whiffs both defenses, giving him 3 Wounds. Unfortunately it seems not to matter as Dynamo still manages to take him down.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Crimson Dynamo: 3/4 Wounds on R2, T6

TEST 4
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Crimson Dynamo
Right off the bat things didn’t turn out well for Kane as the Dynamo simply used Armor Piercing Rocket on him, putting 2 Wounds on him. Kane closed in, attacked, but missed entirely. Dynamo attacked, putting 1 Wound on Kane. Kane attacked again, and despite three all-skull swings, is blocked entirely. Dynamo finishes him off next turn.

TEST 5
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Red Arrow
Red Arrow stays back and gets two free shots on Kane before he closes in. Unfortunately this changes nothing as he can’t get past Red Arrows defense, and is immediately taken down by Furious Assault.

TEST 5.5
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Red Arrow
Similar to last time, this doesn’t end well for Kane. They close in quicker than last time, giving Red Arrow no free shots, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

TEST 6
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Red Arrow
The battle was firmly in Red Arrows corner, until a lucky whiff gave Kane the chance he needed to take back the reins of the battle, and pull out a win.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Solomon Kane: 3/4 Wounds on R3, T1

TEST 7
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Catwoman
Both figures close in on each other. Kane fires a shot at Catwoman, dealing a single wound, but is then taken down in one turn by Whip Lash Special Attack.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Catwoman: 1/9 Wounds on R1, T4

TEST 8
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Catwoman
This was not a proud game for Kane. Stray 13 allowed Catwoman to continually back away out of his Swordplay range, then immediately hit him with Whip Lash Special Attack. They went back and forth for a few rounds, but in the end Kane was taken down.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Catwoman: 4/9 Wounds on R3, T4

TEST 9
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Black Knight
Both figures advance. Kane risks a Flying Charge in order to get a ranged shot, but neither of the attacks nets any wounds. They trade blows for several rounds, with Kane’s attack not being high enough to get through the Black Knight’s defense, and vice-versa due to bad rolls. Solomon Kane gets two separate turns of rolling all skulls with all of his attacks, but it’s still not enough. Finally, Black Knight whiffs twice which lets Kane take him down.

TEST 10
Units: Solomon Kane vs. Black Knight
Both figures advance towards the center. Black Knight skillfully draws first blood by flying over and attacking Kane for 2 Wounds from height. Kane moves up so he’s on the same height and attacks Black Knight, but all three attacks miss. Black Knight’s next attack finishes the match.

Personally, I'm not that concerned. He seems like somebody that would benefit greatly from some Cheerleader support and other units to help distract and possibly even weaken your opponent's figures.

Kane is the kind of unit that is never going to preform well in a one-on-one match-up. His primary power (Retribution) can't even come into affect if he doesn't have teammates, and he'll greatly benefit from allies like Karat said.

And, if nothing else, it wouldn't be terrible to drop him to 130 or so. 100-130 is a point range I'd always love to see more Unique Heroes in.

Alright, this did NOT work out like expected. I despise having to say it, but I simply don't have time to test this. In the last 17 days I've managed to work on the Squad test, but the bloody thing isn't even done yet.

Much as I hate having to ask it, at this point I'm holding other designs up, and we're on a pretty strict time schedule here. I'd either like to request some help on the Army Tests for this or, if that's not feasible, I'd like to put this on hold until I can test again.

Don't worry about it F_G, we're all here to back you up; I'd hate to see this guy be put on hold, I really like how he's come together. Let me know how it goes Karat, I'm in-between units right now so I could easily get in a couple extra games if needed.

I haven't started work on either one, so I technically need both done. I just don't like the idea of shoving the lion's share of my work onto one guy.
