Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Awesome action! Drow vs Anubians! Dark Elves vs Werewolves (well, sort of).
Look like good opponents for the Hide In Darkness. Did it work? Thanks for sharing. |

Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
"Bone Men not good to eat. No meat on bones!"
--Ogre Pulveriser We gamed all day and into the evening. We played three games; the first two were Free For Alls, last was a Team Game with K. and TW. vs C. and SD. We changed seating positions for each game. K. had brought 4 of the 5 armies he built for this scenario. They were variants with some common cards in them. The rest of us used our single armies each game. The Chas Army: The Terrible Torils Death Chasers of Thesk x3 Ogre Pulverisers x2 Othkurik Wyvern Total: 605 (Note: In the photo above, I am attacking into Sherman Davis' start zone! Another photo in the Image Album shows an Ogre Pulveriser vs Tomb Skeletons. Thanks to K. for the pictures.) Winners: Sherman Davies, Kolakoski, Team SD and Me. Onitama: One win each for K. and SD. Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Well met! Just finished watching GoT Finale, and am inspired to create a scenario for my next Hosting. Game of Thrones The Undead Invasion The Map. The Armies. The Lannisters. 24 spaces. Only non-flying, Human or Dwarven, Jandar, Einar, Ullar, or Aquilla units are available to draft. Must draft Siege and an Iron Golem. Only the Lannisters may draft Knights of Weston and Templars. The North. 24 spaces. Only non-flying, Human or Dwarven, Jandar, Einar, Ullar, or Aquilla units, except Knights of Weston and Templars are available to draft. Must draft three non-flying, Range 1, double-spaced Heroes from any General (representing Wildling giants). The Targaryen. 24 spaces. Only non-flying, Human or Dwarven, Jandar, Einar, Ullar, or Aquilla units, except Knights of Weston and Templars are available to draft. Must draft Mimring and Moltenclaw, and two squads ofWarforged Soldiers. The Undead. 24 spaces. Any units at all, except Dragons other than Nilfeim. Must field Nilfeim. Six (of the 24) spaces must contain non-flying, Range 1, double-spaced units. The Armies of the Lannisters, the North, and the Targaryen (the "Alliance") are allied against the Undead. Special Rules. Dragons. All Dragons shall have Nilfeim's base stats: 6 Life, 6 Move, 6 Attack, and 4 Defense. The Undead. All units in the Undead Army shall be have the Species Undead, (in addition to that on their Cards), and shall be subject to the following Special Powers (in addition to any others on their Cards): Necromancy. When a unity ou control is destroyed, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll an 11 or higher, place that unit on the army card of any Unique Hero you control. Reanimation. After revealing an order marker on any Army Card, before taking a turn, you may remove one previously destroyed unit from the Army Card of one Unique Hero you control and place it on any empty space adjacent to that Hero. Undead Legion. After taking a turn with any unit, you may move two unengaged units you control who did not move or attack this turn up to 4 spaces each. Undead Leader. The Undead player shall designate one of his Small or Medium units to be the Undead Leader. The Undead Leader shall have the following Special Power (in addition to any others on his Card): Dragonslayer. After moving and before attacking, you may choose any opponent's Huge figure within 5 clear sight spaces. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 1-15, nothing happens. If you roll a 16 or higher, the chosen figure is destroyed. Victory Conditions. Play continues until one side is destroyed. Note: Below are a couple potential modifications for balance (changed text in Bold Purple). If the Undead Army is too strong: Necromancy. When a unit you control is destroyed, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll an 11 or higher, place that unit on the army card of the Undead Leader. Reanimation. After revealing an order marker on any Army Card, before taking a turn, you may remove one previously destroyed unit from the Army Card of the Undead Leader and place it on any empty space adjacent to the Undead Leader. If the Alliance is too strong: Necromancy. When any unit is destroyed, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll an 11 or higher, place that unit on the army card of any Unique Hero you control. Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
I don't know what the battlefield looks like, but generally a 3v1 tends to favor the 3 player team (9 turns is much, much more potent than 3 turns). Reanimation may help the solo player last a bit longer, so there is that.

Re: Game of Thrones The Undead Invasion - Revised
Well met! For my next Hosting . . . ? Game of Thrones The Undead Invasion The Map. The Armies. Each of the Gang of Four shall build one of the four Armies below. No point limit, but all units must be Fantasy Medieval (or earlier, no guns), except as noted. No Marvel, SoV/C3V allowed. All players may draft the same units, as per normal 'Scape rules. There may be no more than two squads of any type of unit in an Army, except as noted. Note: Each player must examine the unit restrictions/additions for each faction, when building his/her Army, as they lay out which units are unavailable to each other faction. For example, only the Northern Army may have Frost Giants, Axegrinders or Shieldsmiths. The Lannisters. 16 spaces of non-flying, Human, Elven, including Ulginesh (in spite of his being double spaced), or Dwarven, Jandar, Einar, Ullar, or Aquilla units.. In addition to the 16 spaces, the Lannisters must, and only the Lannisters may, draft Heracles, 2 squads of Knights of Weston, and 2 squads of Templar Knights [may, and only they may, draft Templar Infantry, but they must be included within the base 16 hexes]. The North. 16 spaces of non-flying, Human, Elven, including Ulginesh (in spite of his being double spaced), or Dwarven, Jandar, Einar, Ullar, or Aquilla units. In addition to the 16 spaces, must, and only the Northern Army may, draft three Frost Giants of Mohr (representing the Wildling Giants), and two squads of either Axegrinders or Shieldsmiths [the unchosen of which may, of course, be drafted within the base 16 hexes]. The Targaryen. 16 spaces of non-flying, Human,Elven, including Ulginesh (in spite of his being double spaced), or Dwarven, Jandar, Einar, Ullar, or Aquilla units. In addition to the 16 spaces, must, and only the Targaryen Army may, draft Mimring and Moltenclaw, and two squads of Cathar Spearmen. The Undead. 16 spaces of any General's non-flying, single spaced units. In addition to the 16 spaces, must, and only the Undead Army may, field Nilfeim and Sir Dupuis, and six squads of Zombies of Morindan, and must draft three non-flying, Range 1, double-spaced units (the Undead Giants). Undead Legion. After taking a turn with any unit, you may move two unengaged units you control who did not move or attack this turn up to 4 spaces each. Undead Leader. Only the Undead Army may field Sir Dupuis, who must be the Undead Leader. The Undead Leader shall have base stats: 6 Life, 8 Move, 6 Attack, and 4 Defense, and the following Special Power (both instead of the those on his Card): Dragonslayer. After moving and before attacking, you may choose any opponent's Huge figure within 5 clear sight spaces. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 1-15, nothing happens. If you roll a 16 or higher, the chosen figure is destroyed. Victory Conditions. The Alliance wins if the Undead Leader is destroyed. The Undead win if the Undead Leader exits through the Alliance Start Zone. Last edited by kolakoski; September 1st, 2017 at 10:58 AM. |

Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Sherman Davies has drafted a scenario for Sept. 13 with his own map, incorporating the two miniature medieval style wooden buildings I brought back from Japan last Spring. There is a new simple rule for exiting and entering them, and a Cover rule too that is generally applicable to the buildings and other terrain.
