- Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Book One has Rebirth, but also goes right into Green Lantern vol. 4 and includes Green Lantern: Secret Files & Origins 2005, as well as Green Lantern Corps Recharge (which I might've liked the best looking back). - Sinestro Corps War - I haven't read any yet, but I've heard the old Green Lantern/Green Arrow stuff is pretty good. For John: - Justice League/Justice League Unlimited is why John Stewart is my favorite Lantern. - I haven't read his debut yet, I think it's also in the Lantern/Arrow series, really gotta check that out. Unfortunately, I don't know a lot of comics where he's the main character and haven't read much of League either. Theme Favorites: Classic GL for both of them, but JL John is definitely close and very fun to play. Future: Well (other than JL Hal), Hal was the Spectre I guess and John had an Indigo ring. |

Re: C3G Comics Guide and Theme Review
Well I thought their debut in Claremont's X-Men was pretty neat, otherwise haven't read much besides that one time they all died in the 2000s.
I've been either out of town, sick, or both the past two weeks, so I've fallen behind on updating results. I should have them up in a few days when I have time. |

Re: C3G Comics Guide and Theme Review
The short-lived Wolverine and the X-Men animated series is probably my favorite Wolverine media. No comic recs (DC guy). Love all of our Wolverine designs. Probably slight preference towards the OG 280 point version.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Comics Guide and Theme Review
Loved a lot about that show. Second season was set up so well too. would have been great to get it...
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: C3G Comics Guide and Theme Review
C3G’s Comics Recommendations
Best Introduction: ~ X2: X-Men United (film) My favorite superhero movie. I’m sure there are still some fans who think Hugh Jackman was the wrong choice for Wolvie, but he pretty much has come to embody the character since the first X-Men film came out. I’d go ahead and say watch every X-film with him in it, the Wolverine and Logan are also epic movies. Iconic/Must Reads: - The Incredible Hulk #181 (X-Men Epic Collection: It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn) Wolverine’s first appearance. It’s fun and cheesy, I love it. It’s in a couple of trade collections, the one I put basically has all the random X-Men appearances between their 60s original series cancellation and 70s Uncanny. - Wolverine vol. 2 #10 (collected in Wolverine Epic Collection: Madripoor Nights) So when I was younger, I somehow got ahold of some action figures of Wolverine and Sabretooth, looking it up it was called Marvel Legends Face-Off. It came with one of the first Wolverine comics I read, probably the most notable fight between the two from a time before Wolverine was Wolverine. It really shows how messed up Sabretooth is and basically begins the tradition of how Sabretooth pays a visit to Wolverine every year on his birthday. ~ Old Man Logan I love alternate history stories and post-apocalypse stories, so this may be my favorite Logan comic (even though it’s not the main James Howlett that we know). I’d recommend this to any fan of Wolverine. Thematic Favorites Best Design of the Bunch: Wolverine (I) just has it all; the claws, the healing, and the rage. A spot on rendition of Wolvie in Heroscape. Future Design Ideas: Old Man Logan for sure |

Re: C3G Comics Guide and Theme Review
In celebration of the new Trinity release and the Trinity themselves, a small change-up for this one.
Above you'll see the results of the polls and all the designs (including the two new Batman cards and the new Wonder Woman card). For this round please leave one vote on the best piece of media with all three of DC's most popular heroes, preferably working together. The votes will be added to all 3 of their threads in the iconic must reads. Then if you want, let us know your favorite versions of each to run together, so which design of each makes your favorite Trinity army or leaders of a bigger JL army. Re: C3G Comics Guide and Theme Review
I haven't read a Trinity centered comic yet. There are moments in the DCEU that are sheer awesome/epicness, but I can't recommend either of the movies as a whole, so I'll have to say the Justice League animated series for me.
A team I now realize I have to try out is Superman (Justice League), Wonder Woman (II), and Batman (Justice League - II). And they even come out at an even 1,000. They are each probably my second favorite design of each character. Superman ties them together with his Trinity power, a little loosely but still. He is a very on theme Superman. Wonder Woman in full warrior mode looks really fun, I'm sure she can really bash some heads. Low cost, calculating Batman is fantastic. Being able to play the nerve pinching, outsmart the opponent Bats for under 200 is great. |
