Re: C3G Unit Discussion - Wave 14 ; Booster 2 ; Part 2
Mad Thinker
Even the post reevaluation, toned down version of Mind Games is pretty good, as it can frustrate Order Marker hubs and figures dependent on Order Markers for power triggers. Android Affinity is limited by the "meh" choices when it comes to Androids and I believe was also reevaluated twice (first, overly nerfed, then brought back up). Genius doesn't do a lot for him competitively, but maybe one day. At this point I'd say he's solid but not a key competitive piece. 2/B+ Malice The best use of Malice is probably to keep one bubble marker on her card at all times to make her really really hard to kill without auto wounding, then to use a second to slowly auto wound a key enemy figure to death. The ideal way to play her is with a sidekick of some sort who works off of her order markers so you can maintain good turn efficiency while waiting for your auto wounds to do the job. Her attack power is nothing amazing, but her ability to survive attacks is, as well as her ability to get consistent auto wounding. Pinhead is a really great pairing with her in a competitive setting. 4/A C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Never used Mad Thinker, but I can vouch for the Malice/Pinhead combo. Not sure she adds much to the Horror faction that they don't already have (autowounds/survivability), but being able to roll for her autowound even if you whiff your Denizens of Hell roll is nice.

Love Dragon Man. Team him with Frankenstein and Wendigo for a solid Creature feature.
Hard not to like old Paste Pot Pete. |

Re: C3G Unit Discussion - Wave 14 ; Booster 3 ; Part 1
Dragon Man is a solid beater who can also fit with Awesome Android and Mad Thinker armies, but is probably more useful as a generalist who gives you decent stats, adjacent normal attack power, and a solid ranged attack. Not a world shaker, but you could win with him.
3/B Trapster can really annoy enemy figures by stopping them from moving, which is especially rough if they're melee facing range. Problem is you need to waste a turn of your own first on Peter, then hope you get that 13+, then you only have two more Order Markers that round to do something with the advantage. I'd probably rather pay for Blob or Jean Grey if I want to stop movement. That said, he's a decent filler in a criminal army that's not too reliant on his tricks but can use them as bonuses. Definitely try to pair him with efficiency engines that allow you two or more Unique Hero activations a turn, as his trick is a lot more useful if you can pair him with someone who hits hard and if you have the flexibility to use him again that round if he misses his first roll without locking in a turn with him if you make his first roll. If you put in the effort to build around him (which is a dubious proposition for a figure of his level of impact) he can be a really useful tool. 2/B- C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I also downgraded Mandarin to an A- in my rating. I don't think the gap between him and MODOK is as high as I had it.

Wizard is great! One of my favorites to have in a criminal build.

I always like running some Skrulls in a Suicide Squad build. If you can get a pick early or one of your own dies early, they're handy to place down to help prevent any betrayals.
