Re: The Book of Hun - Vote for On Deck
yea
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Hun - Vote for On Deck
Good job on the bio, Johnny! I tweaked a couple of things but left it mostly intact.
Character Bio - Arnold Jones, better known as Hun (as in "Attila the...") was only a troubled teen when he formed the East Side street gang known as the Purple Dragons. Eventually, he grew up, married, and settled down. His gang life was behind him until reality intruded, his wife growing ill and dying. Descending into alcoholism, his rage and frustration were taken out on his son, Casey Jones, until he met an unlikely savior - the man known as Shredder, who offered Hun the strength of his younger days in the form of mutagen. Hun took the mutagen and took back leadership of the Purple Dragons. And what was the price? Undying loyalty to Shredder. |

Re: The Book of Hun
Yep, just felt more realistic/natural to put a shadow there since it's so close behind him.

Re: The Book of Hun
We wouldn’t wanna update the wording on Purple Dragon Beatdown to include Brawlers would we? Besides the Bebop and Rocksteady synergy I was thinking of a potential Uncommon Purple Dragon Gangster with the class of Brawler.

Re: The Book of Hun
I don't really know much about these guys, so not sure where that fits thematically, but I'd be okay with it mechanically, since I'd be likely to want to play them together vs. the Turtles anyway. It would never have been tested though, so it might need one set of tests to just double check it's power level before release.

Re: The Book of Hun
If not I could always dual class the Purple Dragon Gangsters.

Re: The Book of Hun
I don't know how much he interacts with Bebop and Rocksteady in IDW (I only know him from the 2003 cartoon in which they didn't exist) and I personally would rather see any common Purple Dragons as Criminals (I think they should be part of that synergy web), but I'm cool with it if it fits to give the Foot Clan a little more interconnection - let's face it, right now Bebop and Rocksteady have limited reason to run with the Foot over anyone else, and this won't actually change that massively - allowing them to boost his attack through Beatdown isn't a big deal when you have disposable, swarmy squaddies who can already do that for you. So, yes, and I doubt you'll need a test.
In IDW, yes. In the 2003 cartoon in which Hun originated, he was not, and was in fact heavily implied to have killed Casey's father. |
