"500 points per side..." -NO- but I have done massive 300 points per side Demo Games for multi-players; usually it's been me with a bunch of Tie's vs. two new-bees using my A, B, & X, Y, Z's. Lots of FUN, but long in duration.


IF you want to go that route and play that style of aerial battle, then let me suggest that you go to Home Depot and for $20 pick up a 4' x 8' piece of hard board paneling and a can of Black paint. Brush it on, let it dry, then with a tooth brush sprinkle on a few white dots as distant stars in the back ground - and now you've got a huge, but inexpensive map to play on.

On a somewhat related note, my son and are are playing a 300-pt epic game that we just set up tonight. I'm rebs and have to get the Transport across the board to his start zone and off the edge of the board (We're on a 3' x 4' and I have to cross the 4' way). My son is the Empire obviously, and we will hash it out tomorrow most likely.

He's flying the Gozanti Cruiser with 4 TIE f/o Fighters attached, with the Imperial Raider running escort. Oh, and did I mention flying escort on the other side is Howlrunner - awaiting the deployment of the TIEs - and Darth Vader. Tough, indeed.

Of course, I have the Transport and the Tantive. I have 2 Blue Squadron Novices led by Wedge and a souped-up Ten Numb. Gonna be fun, boys. Gonna be fun.

Went 1-1 tonight. Y-Wing and two X-Wings lost to TIE Phantom, Darth Vader, and a TIE/fo. Then YT-2400, Prototype A-Wing, T-70, and two X-Wings beat out Vader, Firespray, and TIE Phantom.

Megasilver, or any of you guys for that matter, what do you fly/use/take to a tournament to handle the Stresshogs?

We have our Store Championship coming up in a few weeks and I know these guys will be present. I want to know what can handle and shed that stress easily enough, but still be viable and competitive.

I know Tycho on the rebels side is okay. I know the Defender with it's white k-turn may be okay as well. Beyond that, I do not really know. Any thoughts?

Anything that doesn't need actions.

Han can always reroll. Predator as an ept is alway good. FCS is great. The tie fo that can remove stress. Wingman. Wired, I love this ept. Boba fett at close range gets his rerolls regardless of stress. Throw on a security droid and he's getting target locks just in case. Anything that assigns tokens and doesn't require actions like Guri. I'm sure there's more.

I always run shuttles that seem to be stressed half the time due to their dial so FCS is really a life saver for me.

When electronic baffle comes out, watch out for my shuttles!

Also, you can just make the Stresshog your primary target, especially if you are flying HLC Brobots, though your opponent may use it as bait.

Basically, as Matthias said, actionless modifiers and high damage output will help you out.
