Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Dr. Strange
Not one I use a lot, mainly because his premier power is a match up dependent fun blocking power (can't use any powers). I'm sure he's still strong versus Magical Defense armies, and those certainly matter in the metagame, but 300 points to be that match up dependent isn't great.
Magical Defense is useful and powerful. His first power is a bit rough, just because 1 wound is usually worth more than 1 Order Marker. 3/C C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Dr. Strange
Never run him, he's never looked worth his cost to me. Could see some more relevance metawise since some pretty strong Magical Defense units released recently, and MD armies are pretty strong from what I can gather. Master of the Mystic Arts is fairly easy to stop though, just park a figure next to him.
I'm sure he takes awhile to chop down with 6 Life/5 Def + Magical Defense. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Dr. Strange
Doctor Strange is tough to put down, and has decent offensive output alongside Wong, but he just can’t compete with others in his weight class.
I think his first power is generally pretty solid, though. If you manage to get him to inflict a wound + remove an OM, you can shut down an opponent from doing anything. It’s just not at all reliable with Strange’s weaker offense for his cost. |

Solid for his points and fits in great with Luke Cage or generalist builds. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Fist
Monster attack for his cost with options, and can heal Luke Cage who's already a pain to take down. Good stuff.
Maybe not the most exciting figure, but he's very effective in Cage builds. |

Yeah, I'm with this.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Fist
Iron Fist is solid. He can die quickly but as long as he gets in a big attack or two and heals a wound from Cage, he's earned his points.

As long as you don’t botch your defense, he’s solid. Wish Street Fighter included Road and Rock tiles too. |

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage
The space restriction on I've Got Your Back can make it difficult to move up efficiently, but he's still one of the better leaders in the game. He can definitely fall to focused fire, but isn't so weak that he's a liability. I'm not convinced he does the job for the faction significantly better than Songbird, though, and getting that +1/1 for concrete and asphalt can be a swing.
The faction is big enough that he can be built around, but he's definitely the focus of the build if you take him. 3/B+ C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage
Solid leader for a solid faction. The Crime Fighters/Fighters have some of the best selection of iconic characters in my opinion, too. So many good options.
The only thing I don't like is that I'm not a huge fan of terrain-based powers (Unless super thematic, like Aquaman and water or Poison Ivy and trees). I personally care way more about figure interaction than terrain types on maps. |
