I don't remember the last time I used him as he didn't seem that great to me. So I'd rather not pull her down to his level, then we just have two big bad duds. As it is, the Alien Queen is salvaging the Alien Drone cards that don't get played. Which reminds me, I still don't think she should be in the Queen synergy web should one develop over the years.

I don't know why not. She acts like a Queen to the Xenomorphs like a human queen to other humans but let's poll it out:

Should Alien Queen have the class of Queen?
A. Yes
B. No, it should be this __________ instead.

I felt both games were winnable for either side. Thing taking four wounds the first two times he was attacked (while in Invisible Woman's aura) certainly played a role, especially since he can't attack without triggering Acid Blood. He basically did nothing in that second game, which hurt the Fan Four a bunch.

Are we planning to keep Matriarch intact? If so, that seems appropriate here as it'd make sense for any synergies that affect our current Matriarch to affect her.

If y'all are still looking to scrap it as a one-off, though, then Queen still makes sense to me. So long as whatever synergy doesn't involve Event Heroes, it shouldn't make a difference.

Scrapping that, I'd go Predator here.

I’ve only seen the first film, and that alien was definitely more of an animal. If the queen is sapient like a human I’m good with queen, otherwise something more animalistic is my preference.

Fwiw, I like using this card alongside Old One Eye to establish Matriarch as the 'primal, animalistic female monarch' class. It's a fairly clear natural role/trope.
Could probably use something like Alpha for the male equivalent, if it's ever needed.
