Nothing about this design has specific synergy with anyone else who was a part of Midnight Sons and it doesn't reference anything unique he does in that story. I've read it. You couldl easily change thing to Blade (Avengers) and no one would bat an eye. This is just a generic Blade that will kill someone for you if you wound them, so basically just a Blade that works well with others. It's a lunchbox Blade that works with others.

Seems like he’s willing to stake people on other people’s turns but anyone’s turn, so not sure the vibe of teaming with a specific team is really there.

I also don’t know who is in Midnight Sons ot what it really means.

Ultimately it’s a thread subtitle, though, not a reason for anyone to get snipey.

Midnight Sons was a team formed by Doctor Strange to fight undead/demonic forces. It featured Ghost Riders (Blaze and Ketch), Hannibal, Morbius and Blade and a few others. Primarily a collection of undead(vampires)/slayer/investigator types that were brought together by Strange. This Blade doesn’t have any real draws to work with any of those characters, so when I saw it posted in public playtesting as a Midnight Sons design, I didn’t see how this Blade fit into that potential faction. Outside of just being a Slayer himself.

Which, of course, the first Blade is a Slayer as well, so that's not a differentiation between them.

Curious to hear from the LD why he wants this to be a Midnight Sons design in particular. If it's to fit on that thematic team, it seems like there's an opportunity to adjust the design before it gets to far to give it more synergy with some of the other members. If it's just a subtitle for the sake of differentiation, I wonder if just going with (II) doesn't make more sense?

Blaze was not a Ghost Rider during the original run. He has the hellfire shotgun and a hellfire motorcycle. Ketch is a new Ghost Rider.
The original Ghost Rider is Zarathos who they all fight in the end.

Blade is actually part of a detective agency known as the Nightstalkers with Frank Drake and Hannibal King.

Lilith the mother of demons was the main adversary as well as recovering pages from the Darkhold.

Forgot Blaze wasn’t fully a Ghost Rider at the time. Been a while since I read that story. It was cool though, would love to make that work as a faction somehow.

Firstly, whatever (II) is not our aesthetic anymore so not gonna fly. Secondly, the plan is to build on Blade with Hannibal King and Frank Drake so Nightstalker might be a better option anyways.
