Burfict will be back soon, I'm sure. I missed a follow up on Eifert but that injury looked very bad. I hope for your sake the Bengals are better than they looked in today's win, and I hope for my sake that the Ravens receivers get over the dropsies before Thursday night.

Good game for the Titans, defense looks much better than last year and if Locker can stay healthy he's as good as any other game manager. KC may just be that bad, but still, winning convincingly on the road is always worth celebrating. Speaking of which...

Good first half for the 49ers, reports of their demise may have been somewhat exaggerated. Second half looked like it was just about grinding the clock away and that seemed to work just fine. Only caveat for me is that the Cowboys looked dreadful.

Ravens made the Ray Rice decision too late for me.

Assuming they had not seen this video, I had no problem with the delay of the decision. I'm pleased they acted as they did today, though.

I suspect they cut him now because they'd been persuaded that something else had been happening in the elevator, instead of this. Like she had really attacked him, or she had been literally falling down drunk already, or something that somehow mitigated what we saw later. But then when this new video came out, and they realized they'd been lied to, it was over.

I strongly suspect Rice had been lying to his teammates and others in the organization. Torrey Smith, an all around good guy, bent over backward to show Rice support. I simply don't think he would have done what he did - or the brass would have said some of the supportive things it did - if they'd known.

They should have held their tongues, Biscotti in particular, as I said at the time. I'm sure he wanted to believe the best, but it was reckless to speak up when the other shoe hadn't dropped.

Correct. As a Ravens fan, I couldn't be happier they cut him. I am surprised at the indefinite suspension, given that an actual rape is only worth 8 weeks, apparently, but I'm sure Goodell has his reasons & I don't think it's unfair. It's just a lot compared to what other people get for doing bad things.

It was a good game last night. I was rooting for the Lions because my Lions fans friends here (@Zbeeblebrox, @IAmBatman , @Tornado ) outnumber my Giants friends here (@Kinseth, @BassistofDoom ). It was a pleasure to watch a real football game, after the overall disaster and snoozefest that was Sunday's Ravens game.

It was pretty awesome to see. Stafford looks thinner, he got married, he's clearly been working on his footwork, and he's even wearing his hat the right way. Can't beat that. If he plays with that kind of composure all year and we stay healthy, we have the talent to do some awesome things.

That said (no offense fellow New Yorkers), I do think the Giants are probably the weakest team on our schedule (or maybe the Jets?).

Edit: I guess he's actually just engaged to be married, but close enough!
