Yeah, Creature Feature is fun. Their lack of range hurt them in this one, though. Also they rolled pretty poorly on defense (which sort of worked for Frankenstein, but, yeah ....).

BOW OF GABRIEL
Once a round, instead of attacking, you may choose a space within 7 spaces of Air-Walker, roll the 20 sided die against each figure on or within 1 space of the chosen space, one at a time. After rolling the 20 sided die, you may remove an unrevealed Order Marker from this card to add 2 to a roll. If you roll 8 or higher, inflict a wound on the chosen figure. After inflicting a wound on a figure this way, you may place that figure on any empty space exactly 1 space away from its original placement. Figures moved this way will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

(Summary)
A.W. Team Wins

Early: Podded up with the crew, later in the game I noticed that Zatanna was placed just a little too far back to make use of immediately. Metamorpho led the advance and we spent some time developing forces. As soon as Metamorpho got close enough A.W. sniped him with the bow of Gabriel and any time I was able to I removed height that existed except what was right outside my start zone. Early game I was also able to hit Katanna and Black Lightning grouped up, she had been left adjacent to lava and was sent in for the dunk but survived.

Mid: Zatanna protected the group fairly well with danger into doves, Terminator engaged metamorpho and Katanna to keep them busy. He laid down some serious hurt with the shotgun and Black Lightning had to deal with A.W.'s range. Black Lightning had some whiffed attack rolls and failed to put a ton of hurt on the group even podded up. Geo-force was able to come in later after Metamorpho and Katanna fell, he put some unblockables out that brought some figures decently low before going down to Air-Walker. Zemo's adhesive made things difficult to deal with.

Late: Game ended with Batman vs the podded up group, Terminator was battered pretty badly at this point. Batman threw Shuriken and Zatanna kept through group safe. Batman got out action economy'ed hard because I could use A.W. to drag him into Zemo's Adhesive range, decently nasty combo and could be done with a Rogue build featuring Captain Cold as well.


Zemo survives with 2 wounds, Zatanna survives with 2 wounds, Terminator with 5 wounds, and A.W. with 2 wounds.

- Give a brief overview. Dice swung the other way this game, I over extended Steve into a strong JL build and got zapped for it. Does reveal that A.W. wants to be in a build that can take care of itself though.

(Summary)
Who won and how many wounds did they have?J> Team Wins

Early: Developed pretty aggressively, left Star Lord just outside my startzone, put Captain on the road and Meteorite just behind him. Air Walker moved over onto height and the JL developed just outside of my effective range. I thought I could get a hit in so I used the road to rush Captain to the middle of the map for shield throw, green arrow retreated and I succeeded in destroying a piece of ice but Black Canary was one out of range.

Mid: Captain spent his time in the middle of the map getting pummeled by Green Arrow, Hawkwoman, and Atom. A lot of markers were committed here and he held out for a while, I flubbed an attack and a Bow ability with A.W. and the action economy difference was pretty big because of the synergy on the other team. Dice rolled well here for JL, made up for last game.

Late: Things fell one by one, first Captain after a long barrage of attacks. Air-Walker got oneshot by a combination of empowered Hawkwoman (from Diana's JL marker) and support from the Atom. Star-Lord went after this and then Meteorite fell to Hawk Woman a turn later, my order marker placements didn't help much here.


JL team survives, Hawkwoman took 1 wound and the rest were unscathed. Action economy was really evident here.

Player 1's THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I was worried after the initial test but things swung both ways so I'm not concerned. Air-Walker feels very utility which makes sense for a herald, he has the stats to justify his points but his most useful qualities for me are his mobility, range, and reposition effects. It is kindof nice to be able to remove areas of height on the board too to just give you superiority for attacks/defense. I feel like he wants to be in a group that can already take care of themselves instead of being relied upon to make the game happen.

Not overbearing but definitely a figure that needs proper support to actually shine. Would definitely draft in another Zemo build or as support to the Rogues or some other faction that can zap a figure's turn or OM if they are within a certain set of spaces from their leader figure. I did not use Power Cosmic just because that type of power generally doesn't appeal to me, he already wants action economy so I wouldn't use that power unless it was going to win me the game or deliver a serious blow to a synergy web on the board.

Air-Walker went 4-3, a could of big losses and a couple of big wins. Never looked to be the major factor in any win except the first game paired with Galactus. I don't see the need for further testing.

I propose a vote to move to Final Editing

Yea. Two more tests against him didn’t change my views on him. Being able to pull you into Adhesive X range with the bow is a nasty trick but he wasn’t really the driving force in either game.
