Using multiple of the same Unique, does it work?
I know the official rules allow only one of the same Unique per side in any battle, but I was curious if anyone has played battles with multiple of the same Unique?
For example using more than one Airbourne Eliete squad, or 2-3 squads of Zettian Guards, or maybe 2+ of Braxas. I'm curious if the same amount of points are used on each side if there is still balance regardless of the extra Uniques. I've been watching my DVD set of Band of Brothers lately and though it might be fun to try using all those exta Airbourne figs for a mass invasion scenario. |

They'd have to cost a bit more. Especially the Marro Warriors.

As he said, squads would have to be cost more. Heros wouldn't work at all since tracking wounds would be too difficult. Well, I guess the deathwalkers would work.

I can definitely see the logic in needing to adjust the points especially in the case of the Marro Warriors. If you have 3 or 4 squads of them they're probably going to be near impossible to completely kill off with their cloning ability. Heck with enough Mimrings you could create a 'fire wall' and obliterate everyting in one pass possibly. Will definetly take some doing, but I think figuring out a system will not only add some new varietly, but as ej stated, gives all those dupes a use other than filling up shoe boxes. Looks like I may need to re-posses the set of RotV figs I gave to my son recently... |
