MOVING THROUGH ENCLOSED STRUCTURES
If an enclosed structure has more than one marked Exit space, figures may use these to travel through the enclosed structures.

When a Tiny, Small, Medium, or Large figure moves onto an unoccupied Exit space, you may place them onto any other unoccupied Exit space for that structure at a movement cost equal to that structure's Transit number. Figures placed this way will take any leaving engagement attacks.

Round 1: Initiative Rogues. The Top advances. Blacksmith heads to a nearby small house.
Wrecker and Piledriver advance.
Cap’n Boomerang advances and Blacksmith hides behind a house.
Wrecker, Bulldozer, and Thunderball advance.
Captain Cold and Golden Glider advance.
Wrecker and Piledriver advance.

Round 2: Initiative Rogues. Captain Cold and Golden Glider both fail attacks on Wrecker.
Wrecker hits Captain Cold for three wounds from height, then Bulldozer uses two auto skulls from a headbutt to finish Cold.
Golden Glider can’t hit Wrecker. Blacksmith pops out of the house and hits Bulldozer for a wound from height.
Wrecker hits Golden Glider for three wounds, Piledriver finishes Golden Glider, and Bulldozer hits Blacksmith for a wound.
Top can’t hit Wrecker, but Blacksmith does land three wounds on a whiffing Bulldozer.
Wrecker one-shots Top, Bulldozer dodges a swipe and Headbutt one-shots Cap’n Boomerang, Wrecker fails to hit Blacksmith, then Bulldozer Headbutts Blacksmith for two wounds to end the round.

Round 3: Initiative Wrecking Crew. Wrecker KO’s Blacksmith. Bulldozer Headbutts Mirror Master for two wounds.
Blacksmith had OM1.
Wrecker smashes the wrong mirror.
Mirror Master sends Wrecker fourteen spaces away, then fails an attack on Bulldozer from height.
Wrecker advances.
Mirror Master fails an attack from height on Bulldozer.

Round 4: Initiative Wrecking Crew. Wrecker KO’s Mirror Master.

Unit Summary: The house looked nice on the battlefield but didn’t play much of a role at all other than LOS blocker, which was limited in use due to the Wrecking Crew being melee. No balance or mechanical issues, though.

Turtle Power! Leo and Raph advance and Donnie uses his Staff Vault and Bo Staff for two attacks of five from height on Blacksmith, which inflict three wounds.
Girder and Blacksmith go, failing to hit Donnie. A reroll costs Girder a skull.
Girder hits Donnie for a wound, sending the Anti-Grav Gauntlet flying. Blacksmith picks it up and throws Donnie for a wound. Axel misses out on an engagement attack try due to his malfunctioning equipment.
Girder Rusts for a wound.

Round 3: Initiative Turtles. Turtle Power! Leo advances, Raph and Mikey both fail attacks from height on Girder, and Donnie whiffs on a chance to take out Blacksmith from height.
Cap’n Boomerang can’t hit Donnie and Blacksmith can’t throw him.
Girder can’t hit Raph.
Cap’n Boomerang uses his acid boomerang and hits Girder and Mikey with unblockables.

Round 4: Initiative Turtles. Leo fails a double attack against Girder from height disadvantage. Then he goes Turtle Power and Mikey fails an attack on Girder from height, Donnie KO’s Blacksmith, and Raph hits Girder for two wounds from height.
Blacksmith had OM1.
Cap’n Boomerang and Girder combine attacks from height on Leo to KO him.
Girder Rusts and is KO’ed.

Round 5: Initiative Rogues. Cap’n Boomerang can’t hit Raph with an Acid Boomerang, but does get Donnie for a wound with the acid splash.
Mikey hits a whiffing Heat Wave from height for one wound, Cowabungas, and hits Heat Wave for a second wound.
Cap’n Boomerang can’t hit Raph again but takes out both Mikey and Donnie with acid wounds.
OM2 was on Donnie.
Heat Wave can’t hit Mikey.
Raph engages Heat Wave but can’t hit him.


Round 6: Initiative Rogues. Cap’n Boomerang, even with height, can’t hit Raph coming or going.
Raph hits Heat Wave for one wound, but can’t finish him.
Cap’n Boomerang catches Raph whiffing on the return trip for the Boomerange, for two wounds.
Raph leaps to engage Cap’n Boomerang, but can’t hit.
Trickster flies to height and KO’s a whiffing Raph.

Unit Summary: Despite having two on the map, the Small Houses weren't really at chokepoints, so they never came into play. It was too hard to fit them in at strategic points on this particular map.

Played another game with the small houses on a custom map with Karat - Duploids and Multiplex versus the Fantastic Four. @Karat can attest, but the Small Houses really didn't do anything other than being LOS blockers. There was no reason to go through the houses when you could walk around for the same amount of movement cost or fly over for less and the walking through mechanic really didn't accomplish anything else for us.

Yea, I'd probably lower that negative to 2-3 move so you at least have enough move left with a 5 move figure (the most common move value) to have 2 move remaining.

Yep. I think you need the faster pass through to have a reason to bother with them/moving through them.

That is what I found once I stopped testing them with interior spaces. Just not much reason to interact with them if they are off to one side of the map. Maybe since you can pass through them, you could find an equipment glyph inside by 'searching' the building?

I mean I guess I’m fine passing this forward mechanically. I don’t think anything is broken. I just won’t use it in this form. But hopefully moving it forward will move closer to interior play.

If moving forward as is happens to be Tornado’s desire, I would request at least one tweak: fewer entrance hexes. When like five consecutive spaces are all entrance spaces they lose any tactical meaning they might have had. I would go down to one space for each door.

(I would also drop the pass through number to 3).

I like both of those suggestions. 4 move just hardly seems worth using to go through it. I think I used it once when Sabretooth was thrown behind the house.
