Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Sounds good. I'm going to see if Multiplex needs one more or not, then plan/set up Blacksmith's initial tonight and throw Small House into one of those. Should have it before the end of the week, hopefully.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Have two of these set up to run in my next Blacksmith test! Unfortunately ran into a snag with her that needs addressing.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: SMALL HOUSE Army Test Map: COUNTRY ROAD Units: Blacksmith (195), Captain Cold (90), The Top (185), Mirror Master (130), Golden Glider (110), Captain Boomerang (Digger) (90) (800) vs The Wrecking Crew (800) VERSION TESTED
Spoiler Alert!
Spoiler Alert!
Unit Summary: The house looked nice on the battlefield but didn’t play much of a role at all other than LOS blocker, which was limited in use due to the Wrecking Crew being melee. No balance or mechanical issues, though. ___________________________________________________________ Army TestMap: COUNTRY ROAD Units: Blacksmith (195), Trickster (Axel) (70), Girder (190), Captain Boomerang (Owen Mercer) (135), Heat Wave (110) (700) vs TMNT (700)
Spoiler Alert!
Spoiler Alert!
Unit Summary: Despite having two on the map, the Small Houses weren't really at chokepoints, so they never came into play. It was too hard to fit them in at strategic points on this particular map. ___________________________________________________________

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Played another game with the small houses on a custom map with Karat - Duploids and Multiplex versus the Fantastic Four.
@Karat
can attest, but the Small Houses really didn't do anything other than being LOS blockers. There was no reason to go through the houses when you could walk around for the same amount of movement cost or fly over for less and the walking through mechanic really didn't accomplish anything else for us.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Yea, I'd probably lower that negative to 2-3 move so you at least have enough move left with a 5 move figure (the most common move value) to have 2 move remaining.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
Yep. I think you need the faster pass through to have a reason to bother with them/moving through them.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
That is what I found once I stopped testing them with interior spaces. Just not much reason to interact with them if they are off to one side of the map. Maybe since you can pass through them, you could find an equipment glyph inside by 'searching' the building?

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
I mean I guess I’m fine passing this forward mechanically. I don’t think anything is broken. I just won’t use it in this form. But hopefully moving it forward will move closer to interior play.
If moving forward as is happens to be Tornado’s desire, I would request at least one tweak: fewer entrance hexes. When like five consecutive spaces are all entrance spaces they lose any tactical meaning they might have had. I would go down to one space for each door. (I would also drop the pass through number to 3). C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Small House (Public Testing)
I like both of those suggestions. 4 move just hardly seems worth using to go through it. I think I used it once when Sabretooth was thrown behind the house.

Any thoughts on next steps here, Tornado?
