Re: The Book of Golgotha (Public Testing)
Just throwing this out there, not sure how I missed that there was a mini chosen for this design, but today Mattel revealed their first in what I'm sure will be many products in a Dino Riders revival.
Too small, but maybe figures more akin to the originals will come out sometime in the next year. Currently, there are these cheap Wal-Mart blind figs called Dino Strike, which are ~3.5in, and they make interesting candidates. Can probably find some unboxed on ebay. The middle guy seems kinda Golgothaish, but there are I believe 13 figures in the line. |

Re: The Book of Golgotha (Public Testing)
Good call. They definitely look smallish in the comic art.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Golgotha (Public Testing)
Nice tests. One bite kill on Starfire was big.
That is where you can never count out the Dinos. They always have that potential to devastate on a single attack. Feeling good about the cost here on Golgotha? |

Re: The Book of Golgotha (Public Testing)
Yeah so far. Their hitting power makes them worthwhile. I think Golgotha works best in a more balanced army like the first one.

Re: The Book of Golgotha (Public Testing)
I agree. The Dinos are not going to be one set army like I envisioned but will hopefully work well in a variety of builds when finished.
The Savage Land TRex will really open it up but I want to LD Gorehead first. He will give them a defensive figure. |

Defense sounds good.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Golgotha felt fine, I purposely tried to put him in tougher matchups and keep my figures apart as much as possible to reduce the possibility of Tail Whip being effective (definitely a power you want more against Fan 4, squad and pod armies). |

Re: The Book of Golgotha (Public Testing)
I think he is probably fine, could see a 10 point drop, but I definitely chose armies to take advantage of the Dino's low defense. If you're planning on adding support for that, I could see Golgotha being harder to take down. Though dropping 20 points isn't crazy to me and does make my second army an even 700 points.
