However, at half GB each they're pretty difficult to handle for my PC (and I suppose you'd like to save some cloud storage too).

I think you should try applying a decimate modifier in Blender before uploading. It really helps reducing polygon count while keeping almost all the details.

I will try to decimate the models when I get the chance--keeping as much of the detail that I can. It's a very easy process. I just need to free up a little time.

Yeah, Q9 has over 11 million faces...I've been running the decimate feature since I replied to the post yesterday lol. I got to the stage where I can click "apply" this morning!

That's insane, funny though. At work I was able to decimate down to about half and it still looks good but is still 250MB, did at 25% and it's down to 140MB and looks fine, Still pretty big though.

So, as it turns out, the scanner's software has built in features to reduce size...This shouldn't be a problem going forward and it doesn't take that long, maybe 5 minutes.

I'm sure you're asking scapedood about the difference in the scan but this is the decimated look from original to 25%.

I'm gonna decimate to 10% and then 5% and see how bad I can get it.

Here they are at 10% and 5%.

I think there's so many vertices to begin with reducing it to even 5% of that is more than enough. Gets the file size down to 28MB.

Down to 1% as well.

Gets the file size to 5MB so not bad. You can tell it's losing a bit as it has a lot of triangles but still it's not bad overall.
