Re: The Book of Jack of Spades (public playtesting)
Quote:
You are welcome, Yodaking, MrNobody, and fret_gurglo! The RFG was a very fun army to play because of all the strategy! That's interesting that their win/lose ratio is 2/8. Based on my two games with them, I think it boils down to two things. One is the swinginess of Royal Flush. If you get to take a turn with 3 or 4 members off of 1 OM multiple times in a row, it's devastatingly powerful, but if you only get to take a turn with 1 several times, the RFG suffers. The +3 from King's Command helps, but it doesn't help if you roll very low on that first roll for Royal Flush multiple times in a row which happened in both my games. Two is that the 4 members are a mix of the Rock/Paper/Scissors metagame. They can cover all 3, but they can't out Rock another Rock team or out Paper another Paper team or out Scissor another Scissor team. They need to employ the countering strategy to win. In my X-Men game, when I played them as a Paper team, they were not as effective vs the X-Men, but when Queen got involved and I played them as a Scissor team, they were more effective. I think part of that comes down to intentionally choosing not to draft all of them based on your opponent's team and what strategy you need. In my Godzilla game, I could have dropped Queen for a most useful Paper unit. In my X-Men game, I should have dropped Jack for another Scissor unit. If you decide to draft all of them, you need to manage your turn activations to make the RFG play more like 1 of the 3 strategies based on what counters the opposing army. Re: The Book of Jack of Spades (vote for final editing)
Thanks for the analysis SIEGE. I too think the RFG offer great potential in strategic options.
Cards look great tickle. And this passes to holding. I'm going to start up Ten now |

Great job on these, fret and Tickle!
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
