When: Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 (provided the world doesn't end the day before)
Set-up: 11:30
Game-play (Pwnage): 12:00-5:00
We do have quite a lot of leeway time in the end, so if anyone is late, we can push it back until that person(s) arrives.

Fees: If you would like pizza, please bring $5 per person. Otherwise, donations will be accepted (just kidding)

Format: ROBOT TERROR (500 points, 200 of which must be large or huge soulborg) 24-hex armies, no glyphs, no Marvel. I will allow the C3V Wave 14. Five 50 minute rounds.

Well... I've got nothing planned for that date (10/22) yet, and I'd love to be there to help out and participate, so please put me down as an attendee. I will also bring a map, but I'll have to download and print those three files (Sirocco, Nilfheim's Lair, and Blind Gate) before I can commit to which one it will be.

Awesome! If you could bring some maps I would love it. If you could bring Nilfhiem's Lair (because of my lack of TT sets) and Sirocco, that would be cool. That only leaves a volunteer to do BlindGate.

Regarding the format, 500 points and No Marvel seems too basic. I was thinking I could do General Wars (entire army must follow only one valkyrie general), or Dragon Wars (must have at least one Dragon in your army), or Robot Terror (must have at least 200 points of soulborg figures in your army). I kind of like Robot Terror. Or maybe we could do something with ninjas.

NINJAS? Really... I know I suggested it, but I was only joking as an exaggerated example of "Something Different" - that's called facetious hyperbole. Since it's your Casual Game Day at your house, then it up to you what the format is going to be. Just pick something and let us know ahead of time so we can start planning our army (or armies) and maybe even test them if we have an opportunity. I can only think of five ninjas right now:

UTGAR's - Isamu 1 @ 10 pts.
VYDAR's - Otonashi 1@ 10
JANDAR's - Kumiko 1 @ 80
ULLAR's - Moriko 1@ 110
EINAR's - Ninjas of the North Wind Squad 3 @ 110

... unless you were also think of including the Samurai, which are all for EINAR anyway, like:

Kozuki Warriors 3 @ 100
Tagawa Warriors 3 @ 120
Tagawa Archers 3 @ 65
and also the heroes: Kaemon Awa, Hatamoto Taro, and Kato Katsuro.

Or, we could do something with Robots AND Ninjas. But then again, everyone would just bring Otonashi @ 10 points, and use Zetacron as one of the robots. We would need to have a point limit on the ninjas too. But then that would seem like too many restrictions. I like the idea of Robot/ninja integration, but it would be too impractical. I might just stick with Robot Terror.

Maybe you could make the point total some wacky number like, 435 or 375, just something random. If you really wanted something outside the box I should have a few. Let us know.

That's a GREAT IDEA... let's Keep It Simple for your very first organized gathering of HeroScapers and if it goes well then every other 3rd or 4th month you can plan another event and have a different Format (i.e. ninjas, dragons, cowboys, undeads, or all of the above... haha - that's a joke)
