I like where you are headed with the SA! I'm leaning 3 attacks of 3, seems SPAM worthy which is what this power was initially in MK2. (It was the last MK that I remember spending $20 in quarters on at a time and playing in the arcade.)

I don't think you can do 2 dragon bites as written. You don't get the opportunity to do a 2nd attack until you attack.

BICYCLE KICK SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 1. Attack 3.
Liu Kang can attack the same figure up to 3 times with this special attack.

ENTER THE DRAGON
Instead of attacking normally, you may choose an adjacent figure with up to 2 Life remaining and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 18 or higher, the chosen figure is destroyed.

• Shaolin Fire is now normal attacks only, which each can be swapped for a Dragon Bite if he desires, based on new tweaked wording.
• Bicycle Kick now 3 attacks of 3 to give it a little more use in certain situations where it trumps his 2 normal attacks, such as in melee against the same figure if he doesn't have an attack boost, or when dealing with Magical Defense or other defensive specials based on normal attacks.
• Dragon roll lowered by 1 to 18. Still useful when dealing with pesky units such as Lanterns, high defense units, or units with defensive counter abilities such as Spider-Man or Thing etc.

Overall he feels like he has great combat versatility, which was the main goal. 2 normal ranged attacks. 2 Dragon Bites. 3 attacks of 3 special attack. 1 normal and 1 Dragon Bite. He's got options.

I'm not actually sure it does. To me, it still reads as just replacing one attack. I know the intent, but I'm just not sure this wording adequately covers it. Maybe something more like "Each time Liu Kang could make a normal attack, you may instead...."

Also, I wonder if we shouldn't actually call out half of a units life, rounded down, on Enter Dragon (it would still be 2 life in most cases). To me, it would get across better that he is biting them in half.

We can hash out the wording, as long as we're all clear on the intended mechanics, I think we're in a good place. After putting it on the card, font size is kept large, with all 4 powers being short and concise, which is what I was aiming for here.

Liu Kang is generally one of the easiest characters to learn in the games, and I like continuing that here. He's got 4 simple powers that allow for any level of player to get good use out of. I think the balance between his several options for dealing damage, combined with his potential self attack boost and ally defense boost, gives the player plenty of fun and decision making to be had.

So unless there's any other ideas or strong desires remaining, I'll probably call for an Initial vote later tonight or tomorrow so I can hit this over the weekend.

Yea. I'm interested in seeing how the gameplay aligns (or doesn't) with our presumptions of the powers on paper.

Me too. You can only theorize so much. Sometimes you just need to get in there and try it to see if it’s any good/fun.

Yea

The boost is only active when the 2 OMs are on his card, so you’d be spending 2 of your turns on Cap and Liu(with the X as well), unless I’m missing something.
