Can You Prove Han Solo Innocent?

We're starting a project in my Law & Justice class where we pick a fictitious criminal and try to prove them innocent with our defense using the American Justice System. I picked Han Solo because... well... he's frickin' Han solo that's why! I know a lot of you are Star Wars buffs - I mean I like Star Wars, but I don't know every little thing about it - so I figured this would be a good place to search for answers.

So can anyone help me prove good 'ol Solo innocent?

And my teacher is a HUGE Star Wars fan, if there's something wrong I'm pretty sure he will catch it.
