Why Don't Generals get More Advanvced Warriors?

if the Archire Generals have control of the space time continuim, then why ddo they not just get the most advanced warriors.

im not talking in game, im talking in fiction.

Theophilus.

Apparently it's limited control, or else the reference simply means that time and space are bent to bring the warriors to Valhalla.

fejkl Woo who?
I like limited control better.

Besides, they (the Generals, that is) don't want to ruin it for us.

Maybe it takes so much to summon a new race to Valhalla.

And thier powers are limited?

Valhalla is a strange place. Unlike reality, where the bloke with the biggest, most adanced weaponry holds a HUGE advantage, in Valhalla we can truly see who were more formidable - the Romans, WW2 US Airborne, or a bloody great dragon. I think the gods must like it like that - that Valhalla is a place for true warriors of all times and places, and not just the one with the nastiest guns.

Q - "Are you one of those people who does The Times crossword puzzle in 10 minutes?"

A - "I have NEVER taken 10 minutes!"

I believe the Idea is that they can only summon what they see in their visions. What they see in their visions are limited to their values and fighting styles.

Up, lad: when the journey's over / There'll be time enough to sleep!"

Or it could be that more "advanced warriors" wouldn't be as happy to fight for them.

Whenever I've taken the time to think about the game fiction (which is rare) I've always pictured the point cost of the unit as a refelction of how hard they are to summon. If you're playing an 800 point game, each general had 800 points worth of energy to spend before they were all tuckered out for the day and had to rest.

That would explain why they don't just summon big bads....sometimes swarms of large armies are better, and are of equal point value.
