Instead of his normal move, Spider-Man may move up to 4 spaces with Swing Line. When moving with Swing Line, Spider-Man has the Flying special power, but may not move up or down more than 40 levels in a single swing, and will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

Changes are not drastic, so I would maintain the 3 and give you my Yea. Things are looking good here.

Personally I would also change the order of the first 2 powers. They both trigger at the same phase, and to me, it just sounds better to Step Up before making the Ultimate Sacrifice.

I still slightly prefer not letting him boost his attack based on his own wounds, it removes the “selfless” theme that Peter is all about. But if you think it’s necessary we can test it out.

I can go either way if there are power level concerns after the initial- I remember Ultimate Peter being fairly aggressive when hit at certain points in the book, so I could see the justification for either avenue.

I know- I just figured changing it to Step Up made it a little bit more "evergreen" if another design needed it.

As an aside- I posted the initial playtest callout in the playtesting thread. Do I change the title of the thread? The guide doesn't specifically instruct you to do so until you propose a public playtest.

ULTIMATE SACRIFICE: Took wounds for Luke Cage, and Daredevil multiple times

STEP UP: Attacked Nebula the turn after she attacked Daredevil and did wounds to him.

SWING LINE 4: Used often.

Most of the action was in the center of the map. It was slow going in round 1 and 2. Donald Ferguson was able to sneak around and hit Luke with a 4 skull special attack and Luke blanked and died on Turn 1 of round 3, leaving 2 dead order markers. Spider-Man couldn't take those wounds on to save him. Spider-Man Stepped Up and attacked Nebula doing 3 wounds after she wounded Daredevil. Lady Deathstrike attacks and kills Daredevil, but Spidey Swings over and takes the wounds. Nebula attacks Daredevil trying to kill him but misses. Songbird swoops in and kills Lady Deathstrike, she also used he Pie Food glyph to heal a wound on Spider-Man. Spider-Man attacks and puts a wound on Nebula taking her out. After Nebula went down it was 4 figures vs Donald Furguson. Donald hit a few figures for wounds but ultimately fell to end the game.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Songbird 1 wound/4 life left, Moon Knight full 5 life left, Spider-Man 4 wounds/1 life left

Damage Dealt: Missed on all 4 attacks he took

ULTIMATE SACRIFICE: Spider-Man took a wound for Otto early in the game, and then took 2 more in round 4. Those wounds killed Spider-Man.

STEP UP: Used for all of his attacks but rolled terribly each time.

SWING LINE 4: Used often

Both teams moved toward the center Arena. Leopardon dropped in round 2 doing 2 wounds to Star Lord, after that his attacks were mostly poor, only doing wounds to Groot, but misses on all it's attacks on Rocket, Star Lord and Gamora. Really under performed. Spider-Man took some wounds to keep Otto alive but he also rolled bad on his 4 attacks. Ultimately Peter took 2 wounds from Otto which removed him from the game. Guardians rolled hot while the Spider team didn't. Tough to really evaluate with such lopsided rolls.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Rocket 2 wounds/2 life left, Gamora 2 wounds/4 life left

Units: 1000 pts – Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Spider-Man 250, Spider-Man 180(PBP), Firestar 120 VS 1000 pts - Fantastic Four

Damage Dealt: No attacks.

ULTIMATE SACRIFICE: Took a wound for Cage. Took 2 more wounds for Cage. Spider-Man took 2 more wounds for Cage and died.

STEP UP: Never got an attack in.

SWING LINE 4: Used once

Both teams start out moving to the North side of the map. The Fany get a full 4 figure turn to start round 2, 4 attacks only 1 wound to Cage. PBP takes a wound for Cage from Human Torch. And then 2 more when Thing attacks Cage. Spidey Webs Thing and moves him out of Invisible Woman's range and puts 4 wounds on him. Mr Fantastic hits Cage with a 4 skull attacks and Cage blanks so PBP Swings in the take the wounds but dies in the process. Fantastic Four have a hot d20 and get turns of 3 and 4 figures often which wears down the Fighters. Close game though.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Solid designed figure, that I enjoyed using more than I thought I would. I like him best in Luke Cage Fighter/Crime Fighter builds. He's a nice wound soak for Cage, and with Cages bonding he can get some attacks in with Step Up. He struggled on his attacks to do a lot of damage but that was more to bad luck rolls than anything else, the potential for big damage is there. 170 to 180 range feels right, but at 180 there is a lot of competition who could be taken over him, Captain America(Sam Wilson), Songbird, Punisher and Ronin to be exact. I'm recommending him to move to public playtesting at 170 points and see how he does there.

Results look good, though! That Spidey/Daredevil combo sounded solid.
