STEPPING DISCS 10
Instead of moving normally, you may place Magik on any empty space within 4 spaces of her current position. After moving her in this way, you may roll the 20-sided die, if you roll 10 or higher, place Magik on an empty space within 4 spaces. If you roll a 9 or lower an opponent of your choosing may place Magik on an empty space within 4 spaces.

For some fun, maybe if you press your luck your opponent gets to move Magik for you. Let me know what you guys think.

Edit - Interesting. I was initially thinking more like Blink's Phase Javelin style where she could essentially go 6 ft or 6 miles.

Me and DrJ were chatting a bit on Discord, not sure that tying her teleport to her combat like Phase Javelin works but he has some he likes right now.

Instead of moving normally, you may place Magik on any empty space within 4 spaces of her current position. After moving her in this way, roll 10 combat dice. Place Magik on an empty space exactly X spaces away where X is the number of blanks rolled. If X is 4 or greater, your opponent may place Magik X spaces away where X is the number of blanks rolled. When Magik starts to Teleport, she will not take any leaving engagement attacks

SOUL SWORD
Magik adds one automatic skull for each of the following that is true:
• the defending figure is adjacent.
• the defending figure is an Angel, Demon, or Undead figure.

MAGICAL DEFENSE
When Magik is attacked by an opponent's figure that does not have the Magical Defense special power, the most wounds Magik can take for this attack is one.

I think that's fun. You lose some of the control because you don't know how many blanks you will roll so you can't plan exactly where you want to place her.

Yea I am. I didn't really mean tying into combat but rather using the randomness aspect.

Not entirely in love with the opponent placement but it's probably fine.

I honestly preferred Stepping Discs the old way. It seemed like the problem before was that it felt too niche cause she didn't really have a reason to use it once in combat, and I'm not sure this new take solves that. It feels more complicated overall, and the big meaty 10 dice roll feels kinda weird for a relatively inexperienced and weak character.

What if she was more like Nightcrawler?

After using Stepping Discs, Magik may use Stepping Discs one additional time. When Magik starts to Teleport, she will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

SOUL SWORD
Magik adds one automatic skull for each of the following that is true:
• the defending figure is adjacent.
• the defending figure is an Angel, Demon, or Undead figure.
• Magik moved one or more spaces with her Stepping Discs special power this turn.

That would give her a reason to hop around using the Stepping Discs during combat.

That just means she basically always gets the boost. Do not like that. Shouldn't work at range.
