Cool New Aquilla units- Ft. Einar Gen.

Hi everyone!
This is just a continuation of another thread in the official unit forum which turned into a discussion of new customs! (here it is, if you're interested! http://www.heroscapers.com/community...ad.php?t=47208 )
So, carry on discussing! feel free to join in if you so wish!

Ideas so far are:
Some form of unit able to summon familiars, possible Aquilla kyrie but more likely a shaman for the mohicans.
A mohican chief, most likely a cheerleader-type unit able to buff stats or help with concealment.
Some mounted, possibly ranged mohicans.

So here's my first thoughts of roughly what each unit should be like, if you think anything could do with changing ot you have any ideas, don't hesitate to post them!

Shaman

Summoning Power
Instead of attacking [shaman] may attempt to summon a familiar. Roll the D20. if you roll 1-10, nothing happens. if you roll 11-20, you may place any familiar you control adjacent to [shaman]

Familiar Bonding
Before taking a turn with [shaman] you may first take a turn with any familiar you control

Healing
Something either like Rhogar's 'Lay on Hands' or Ana Karithon's 'Healing Word'

Human
Unique hero
Shaman
Fearsome

Life- 4
Move- 5
Range-4
Attack-2
Defense-3
Points- 120

Chief

Mohican Buff
All [something to link all the mohicans] who start their turn adjacent to [chief] may add 1 to their move for this turn

Concealment Boost
Any figures you control may add [x] to their d20 roll for concealment

Human
Unique hero
Chief
Fearsome

Life-5
Move-5
Range-1
Attack-3
Defense-4
Points-100

Mounted Mohicans

Frenzy
[the usual rules apply]

Tracking
[same as BA]

Life-1
Move-7
Range-5

I think a Native American that is basically a beserker would be awesome. Like he was heavily drugged by a shaman or something and he gained incredible strength and courage.

I like that idea! beforehand they'd all been sort of sneakier, hiding when attacks, so some sort of krug-like (ie, stronger the more damage taken) could be a fun idea to play around with. could you post some stat ideas?

Thanks! And I have to admit, I am most excited about the familiars, but I think they'll involve quite a bit of work to make them nicely thematic and the right strength, as in not completely useless, but not able to go toe to toe with Drake.

Would they be something that was summoned from off the map like Retchets, or would they be more like the elementals, in that they can be used without a shaman, it just wouldn't be practical.

If you have an idea for a signature, let me know. Until then, this stays here

I think they'll be off the map, then summoned, almost like the patronuses in harry potter, Ie, they are summoned and them have to stay near the summoner or they 'fade', they cant just go off and do their own thing.

I believe we had decided on 6 spaces for the range that familiars must remain within of the Shaman. And for the Chief, I don't see why we don't just give him an ability that applies a +1 to ALL Mohican d20 rolls, instead of just camouflage? Gives him more versatility, and makes him a bit more useful. And as far as the horsemen, defense 4 seems a bit strong for unarmored Natives. I think defense 3 would be much more realistic, and more balanced.

I personally feel this:http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStor...n/latest/59010 would do quite nicely for the shaman.

And this:http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStor...sku-down/59002 looks like quite the berserker-type fellow to me. Reaper Minis does some of the best Native American models I've seen.

That beserker is not what I had in mind. I'll try to find a picture or mini that is closer.

Defense 3

Overextend Attack. Maybe make it unlimited(not sure how that would work.)

Or starts with low attack and gains as he kills. Make him 3-3 like average and then he gains an attack die for every figure he destroys. Or he gains an extra attack for every figure he destroys. Up to a maximum of course.

Shaman could be for healing him. Tribesman get inspired somehow when he kills things.

EDIT: Think posed like this but it's a guy with warpaint and a huge animal skin on his back.
