No. The really absurd part is thinking all women don’t like science fiction. Some do. Some don’t. To lump all women together makes me want to bust some heads together. Unfortunately, in this day and age we can't bust heads like we used to, but there are ways around that. One trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Actually, "Dejah Thoris" is much more than half naked. I'd say about 7/8s.

Also, the film is actually about something: our lives are important when we give service to others. In this day and age, not a bad adage to spread around.
