Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

I just recently found out that the Kingdom Hearts game that was scheduled to be released for the 3DS has had its title announced and a teaser trailer has been released for it.

The official title for KH3D is Dream Drop Distance

(3D = 3 D's, Ah, Nomura you continue to amaze me)

As far as storyline goes, this game is the official prologue to Kingdom Hearts III, the end of the story for Sora and Riku.

In this game, the two will take their Mark of Mastery exam in order to become fully-fledged Keyblade Masters (like Aqua and Terra did in BBS) because it has been discovered that the death of Ansem and Xemnas has resurrected Xehanort in Terra's body.

All the original Kingdom Hearts worlds will return, but all the Disney Worlds are going to be new. A world based off of Hunchback of Notre Dame was confirmed in the trailer.

Sora and Riku are also going to have new costumes, and the 3D will be used to focus on depth in the game. The three words in the title will have some significance in the game play, for example Drop has something to do with the heroes, cause it shows in the trailer Sora "dropping" from the bell tower in the Hunchback of Notre Dame world to the ground.

Neku Sakuraba is going to be in this KH game, from the Square Enix game called The World Ends With You.

In the demo shown at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show, Sora is seen in Traverse Town calling out for Riku, but finds Neku instead who is hanging from a roof. He jumps down and shows Sora the number on his hand, and mentions he needs a partner to play the Reapers' game with. He shows his hand, revealing he has just over 43 minutes to win the game or die. He is accompanied by a cat type spirit called Neko Cat whose tail is like a music note. He has strayed from his partner and since Neku says that having a partner is necessary in order to win the Game, Sora helps him out, though he doesn’t really understand the Game.
