I ran some HH tests last night in between posting and while he did okay with the change, it seems that wounding with throws isn't like automatic or anything and he still missed some throws and Grav Grasp rolls. So I can't do anything about the throw wounds (want to keep consistent with JG and Mags) but I think that throwing easier might be nicer and stopping with GG would be nicer too. So I just lowered the rolls to 8 for further testing. It's not a huge move but 5% should help over all in the long run. And it really should be a bit easier for him to throw his own teammates. Even if he can throw someone 3 times in a turn, you have to have a lot of luck to get 3 wounds also from that, so for someone at his point level, I don't think being able to put on 3 wounds once in a while vs. HH's should be a big deal.

Just keep tinkering with this guy all you like and I'll doublecheck your results when you're done with some tests of my own.

I may even try adding a line in RG to say, "add 2 to your roll when using Reverse Gravity with other figures you control" so that it's really a 6+ to move your own figures like with Magneto. Just a thought as it really shouldn't be hard to do with figures willing to be moved.

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT (Graviton)

FAIL too powerful right now, I'm afraid. I think his rolls need to go back up to 9/9. Adding in the three chances for the throw does plenty for his odds.

TEST 1
Map: Ravaged Road
Units: Graviton vs. Magneto (310)

1st Test: Graviton wins on Turn 1 of Round 2 with no wounds. His improved odds on the throw made wounding Magneto a breeze. Magneto had bad throw rolls on this one.

2nd Test: Graviton wins on Turn 3 of Round 1 with 1 wound. He's definitely the superior thrower, and Magneto's 4 life just can't hang with him.

3rd Test: Graviton wins on Turn 3 of Round 2 with 2 wounds.

TEST 2
Map: Ravaged Road
Units: Graviton vs. Hulk (370)


1st Test: Hulk wins after Three full Rounds with 6 wounds (2 of 8 life remaining). Graviton managed to toss Hulk around a lot and stop a lot of his movement, but the few times he failed to hold Hulk in place or toss him away, Hulk made him pay with monster attacks. This one felt pretty close.

2nd Test: Graviton hit about 90% of his Gravitational Grasp rolls here, and won with 0 wounds on Turn 3 of Round 2. Hulk got off one attack (with 10 dice) but only rolled 4 skulls (weak) and the first was blocked by Graviton's auto shield. Hulk also whiffed on 6 defense to take his final 3 wounds from Graviton's final attack. Graviton also secured height for all of this one. Advantage Graviton.

3rd Test: Graviton won on Turn 2 of Round 2 with 0 wounds. Hulk got off no attacks in this one, thanks to Graviton hitting all four Gravitational Grasp rolls he attempted. Hulk rolled a miserable three shields on eighteen defense dice against three normal attacks from height by Graviton. Graviton should clearly cost more than Hulk - the question is how much? He was dominant in his two victories and the loss was close, but the dice really screwed Hulk in this last one.

TEST 3
Map: Ravaged Road
Units: Graviton vs. Darkseid (380)


1st Test: Graviton wins on Turn 3 of Round 2 with 5 of 6 wounds on him. This one was really close (not even mentioning that Darkseid put two of his wounds on himself with his special, or that Darkseid was one on the D20 away from auto-destroying Graviton on the second turn of the game). So far Graviton's feeling like 390, but we'll see!

2nd Test: Darkseid wins after a full 2 Rounds with 5 of 8 wounds on him. Another nailbiter! Since we all know that Darkseid is an A+ unit for 380, I'd say this still feels like 390 so far.

3rd Test: Ouch. Round 2, Turn 2, Graviton wins with only 1 wound. It felt close before, but this was just terrorism. Graviton is feeling like 400 now, especially considering Darkseid's special attack, the strongest in the game, should be his biggest weakness.

TEST 4
Map: Ravaged Road
Units: Graviton vs. Superman (400)


1st Test: Graviton wins on Turn 2 of Round 4 with 3 of 6 wounds on his card. Superman really got held down by Gravitational Grasp here.

2nd Test: Graviton wins on Turn 3 of Round 3 with 3 of 6 wounds. Superman again got really held down by Gravitational Grasp. He only got off one total attack here.

3rd Test: Graviton wins on Turn 3 of Round 2 with 2 of 6 wounds. Superman got two attacks off here, but the Gravity Shield held the damage down. I could see going back to 9 for the rolls. The triple throw still gives Graviton plenty of chances, but he seems a tad too tough right now.


TEST 5
Map: Ravaged Road (420)
Units: Graviton vs. Thor

1st Test: Graviton wins on Turn 2 of Round 3 with 3 of 6 wounds. Gravitational Grasp was wicked here as well and the 4 dice on Thor's ranged special attack couldn't break through for damage (neither could God of Thunderstrike).

2nd Test: Graviton wins on Turn 1 of Round 4 with 5 of 6 wounds. Thor got adjacent for a melee attack exactly once here and also hit Graviton for three wounds with his God of Thunderstrike. Even that lucky D20 roll couldn't save the God of Thunder, though.

3rd Test: Graviton wins on Turn 1 of Round 3 with 4 of 6 wounds. Thor got off 3 melee attacks, but couldn't roll quite well enough to do the trick. His God of Thunderstrike missed.

Here are some heavy hitter tests to chew over. I don't want to move forward, though, because I think we swung him a little too far in the other direction with the changes.
I'd like to go back up to 9 and 9 for the rolls on his special powers, but keep the triple attempt for Reverse Gravity in place.
