Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
Yeah, it does seem pretty "off-brand" for cats. I guess the red ring acts in mysterious ways, though.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
Very cool! I had a draft in my notes based heavily on ZJ's draft (in the spoiler below). I feel like 9 life & low defense makes sense here to combo well with Blood of Ysmault, offering a unique life/defense combo for the RL faction, and to be consistent with C3G's other cats. Obviously that would require a complete rework of Catscratch Fever though, so I get it if that direction doesn't appeal to you.
Spoiler Alert!

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
It could be doable with 9 Life is you just put a cap on it (probably 4 like Starfire and Black Canary). I do like keeping to the 9 Life Cat Aesthetic, but it's not essential.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
9 Life would be a bit silly for regular cats (or cat-themed humans), but we've used it for cat-characters who have cat-themed powers (Catman, Wild Cat, Teekl). A superpowered cat with powers from a non-feline source is a bit different, but hell - it sounds like fun, and makes him a bit more distinct gameplay wise. I'm fully in favour.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
I like it conceptually, but I’m a bit concerned about how it would interact with his other powers. Imagine Atrocitus is wailing on you, and you can’t kill him without taking out Dex-Starr, or at least eliminating all of his markers. But Dex-Starr powers up as he gets more wounds, so it almost seems like it’s better to just ignore him and focus on Atrocitus which feels like it should be the opposite of the theme.

With low defense, those wounds will come quickly.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
I'd say that dynamic's basically already there, though. Not much difference between low life, high defence and low defence, high life on that score.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
Except the difference is that getting wounds actively empower this character. Give him the chance to take 8 of them before dying, that’s a big upgrade compared to 3.

That's why you cap it ....

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
Okay, but even if you cap Cat Scratch Fever, he’s going to have a way longer time to use it than he would with 4 life. And Blood Of Ysmault obviously loves a really high life.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
That's true. You'd probably have to take him down to about 2 Defense to balance it.

Re: The Book of Red Lantern (Dex-Starr) (Breathing)
Or make the bonus +1 for every 2 wounds or something, so it scales at a similar-ish rate.
