Faustus is surprisingly tart
Any suggestions on what this guy's abilities should be?

Usually I have no problem coming up with ideas, but I'm stuck!



CARRY
(as worded on other figs with this ability)

CHARGE!
Instead of moving or attacking
normally this turn, Seric may
use his Charge ability. Seric
must move 5 spaces on
flat hexes and end on a space
with an enemy figure. That
enemy figure is moved to an
adjacent space of your choice.
Roll 1 attack die against that
figure and it may roll no defense
dice. Seric cannot use this ability
if he is currently engaged.

SCALE
Instead of moving or attacking
this turn, Seric may scale. Seric
may move up to 18 spaces high
and up to 3 adjacent spaces.


The outdoors is what happens when I'm going from one place to another.

Hmm... Carry, for sure... and how about some kind of Charging Assault? I mean, he does have four legs, along with what could be a jousting spear.

Yeah I definitely think there should be something done with the four legs. Some kind of multiple attack or grab & smash...who knows? As the (very cool) figure's creator, I think you'd have a better idea of what it should do than anyone else. If you have an idea but just don't know how to put it into Heroscape terms, I'm sure some of us would be more than happy to help.

With that flag maybe he could have a RALLY Power for troops, or a movement enhancement.

How about "Shared disengagement: Any damage inflicted to this figure for disengagement is also inflicted on the figure making the leaving engagement strike"

You might as well give him regular disengagement, since that ability would essentially do the same thing. Taking disengage swipes are optional, so I doubt anyone would try and take any swipes againt him.

Well sometimes people do forget and then "oh snap he just killed my guy!!" as opposed to "crap I guess that die roll doesn't count"

A few ideas....

1) A climbing ability, somewhere between the Monks' leap and Drake's grappling gun.

2) Also regeneration maybe? Instead of taking a turn, roll the dice to remove a wound marker.

3) A grapple attack that mimics the cyberclaw

4) If he's adjacent to a tree, he can only be attacked by adjacent figures. You can limit this to just normal attacks or not.

5) He kinda looks like an Ullar follower

Thank you for the suggestions - they really helped! I've posted a test card in the first post. Let me know what you think of the wording, stats, etc.

I never realized that disengagement rolls weren't mandatory!

I do like that special ability that is sort of a counterstrike/disengagement thing, I may use that on somebody else...
