Another ripper! Not bad for a game under 100k.

Here is a good site for mmorg's in general free to play and the paying ones.
http://mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/sort/rating/gameID/0

The ones that have no money signs are free to play just click and look its a good site for all things mmorg.

Voyage Century looks pretty good I may give it a try. Also 9Dragons is in the beta stage I think.

do you loved Turrican and Turrican II ?
(the true question should be if you're old enough to remember them ^^)
if so, you must try Hurrican, one (and the latest one) of the many free remakes made in the years by fans.

Voyage Century is by far the best free MMORPG I've ever played and I highly recommend it.

A couple notes:
* It's a conversion, so some of the text is a bit "Engrish", but it's been improving a lot over the last couple months.
* The business model is the typical cash shop structure, but you can easily play the full game without spending any real money.
* There's a lot of variety in how you can build your character, so it doesn't get boring as fast as many other games. I.e. you can concentrate on your combat skills if you like that, but alternatively you could omit that entirely and focus on trading, or ship-building, or several other activities instead and never lay a hand on a weapon if you don't want to. And you can switch easily between these activities.
* You can grind mobs for weapon XP if you really like doing that, but unlike games like Silk Road, that's not the "main thing" to do in the game, and isn't necessary.
* It's not over run by people running bots, though there are a number of things you can leave your character doing afk. Such activities however do not generally detract from people who are actively playing.
* For an MMORPG, there isn't a heck of a lot of player interaction, unless you have RL friends who also play, so if that's what you're looking for, maybe try something else.

Have fun!

Insanity is only brain deep.

Not technically a game but a fun way to productively waste time, for NASA! NASA has so many pictures of unclassified galaxies that they released the pictures onto the web for us to classify.

6 x 9 = 42

http://chronicle.ubi.com/ Is the site for Shadowbane a free MMORPG that has both Mac and Windows clients. It's a massive download, but if you have the time and connection speed, defenately worth a look...
