Looking good, although playtesting will probably find 140 a fraction too low for a 5 attack/defense that has range.

Not to mention the 5 life to go with it! I think you're looking at 170-180 at least.

C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Radiation Blast Special Attack

Since Radioactive Man can't be within clear sight of himself, I don't think he'd be affected by the special attack. As much as I struggle with the mechanics of the game, I do enjoy it when the definitions create situations for elegant wording.



Setting aside my linguistic fascination, the attack is pretty cool as well. It's also nice to see the Environmental Suit have another protection.



Controlled Emissions

Is this a euphemism for "Silent, but deadly?"



This is a Super Hero version of Marro Plague. It's nice that this is optional, because you don't want the wound from the radiation to potentially put a rage marker on C3G's Hulk!



Final Thoughts

The only way you could make this design more thematic is if you gave his points a half life.

C3G INITIAL PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT RADIOACTIVE MAN

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.
PASS

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.
PASS

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.
PASS

- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak.
PASS

- POWER CHECK/ Consider the test unit and all existing units and all glyphs to compare to and check for any powers that could be over amplified and break the game. Each power must define when it takes place, who or what it affects, and What are the stipulations on the power if there are any.

- FUN TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play.

- FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Consider whether or not the design was fun to play against.

- DRAFTING TEST/ Consider whether or not this design is worth drafting.
PASS Maybe sometimes draft with AIM Agents so they won't be affected by Radiation Blast.

- USAGE TEST/ Consider whether or not all of the powers on this card were used or at least usable.
PASS .

- STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game.
PASS Will have to be careful when using Radiation Blast to not hit friendlies.

Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? .Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 140
- Give a brief overview. . Radiation Blast is nice to have for a special attack and bypass special defenses and the extra possible wound is nice, the range of 3 and once per round helps keep it in check. While not an issue vs. HH, the radius of 3 spaces can affect teammates without Environmental Suit, so it will need to be used carefully. His normal attack is nice as a ranged attack of 5 is pretty nice. Controlled Emissions had helped for sure in some matches, but not in others.

- Does it pass, Yes or No? .YES
- What should be the unit's point value? 130
- Give a brief overview. .I wanted to see how he did against these guys since his special powers didn't work vs. them with their Environmental Suits. So RM just had to use his normal ranged attack and it was good but could only take one out at a time, though he missed twice with bad attack rolls. 3 attacks of 3 chipped away at RM until he died.

- What should be the unit's point value? 150
- Give a brief overview. . Radioation Blast took down 2 Ninja in one turn and 1 of 2 in another turn. Otherwise his normal attack was enough..

Units: Radioactive Man vs. Hand Ninja x 2 (170 but more like 140 w/o bonding)

- Does it pass, Yes or No?.YES
- What should be the unit's point value? .160
- Give a brief overview.. . Radioactive Man certainly benefited from Zemo's OM flex. His Radiation Blast was only used once and missed Banshee but put 2 wounds on Jubliee. RM resorted to his powerful normal attacks while adjacent to Banshee and that did the trick, as well as a Controlled Emissions 13 wound that helped. After Banshee was dead from their battle on the roof and RM was left with 3 wounds, Kraven pretty much took over.

Units: . Radioactive Man (140) Baron Zemo (170) Kraven (200) and Vulture (90) for 600 points vs. Cyclops (190) Banshee (160) Dazzler (100) Angel (90) and Jubilee (60) for 600 points.

Kraven names Cyclops as his prey.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? .YES
What should be the unit's point value? .150 (he did great, but due to lots of luck)
Give a brief overview. . Radioactive Man did really good in killing 4 SHIELD Agents (1 with normal attack, 1 with Controlled Emissions 13 and 2 with Radiation Blast). He killed Hawkeye with 2 Radiation Blasts, 1 was a 2/1 attack and 1 was a 2/0 attack + 1 extra wound from a skull roll. Hawkeye had height and not only rolled total crap for his attacks, but also total crap for his defense. Fury also took 2 wounds from the second Radiation Blast, but Fury with height and 6 defense dice whiffed to take those 2 wounds. While RM had great luck, Wonder Woman was total crap and a 300 point waste to RM's army. Ms. Marvel didn't do much better but she at least put some wounds on Spider-Woman and killed a couple SHIELD Agents, but she had wanted to be able to offer RM and WW turns while still getting her ranged attacks. However, SHIELD getting height after the drop and having range of 6 to bypass The Best Defense kind of messed up the plans. I wanted to try AIM with RM so that he wouldn't have to worry about his Radiation Blast affecting them. They did help with adding multiple ranged attacks, but hurt when taking OM's from Ms. Marvel. Ultimately, this game could have been closer or his army could have won if Wonder Woman didn't have such a crap game.

Initial test complete.

There was definitely some luck involved in the results of both army tests. In fact, I can't remember a time when there was so much bad dice rolling at key points. His army certainly benefited by the dice luck in the first test when Dazzler and Jubilee totally sucked with golden opportunities vs. Kraven. But then in the second test, Wonder Woman totally sucked to be a waste of 300 points for Radioactive Man's army, but then he benefited by some horrible attack rolls from the enemy as well as horrible defense rolls.

So I guess I would lean toward 160 for testing. He doesn't have synergy, but there are going to be plenty of figures that he can work with that can offer OM flex, like Ms. Marvel, Zemo, Commander Rogers, Hawkeye II, Hush etc.

He didn't get to attack with his normal ranged attack with height, so that can be a nasty ranged attack of 6. His defense and lives are pretty stout for that price range and he will definitely be a huge threat to SZ bomb or against swarming melee squads with his Radiation Blast and Controlled Emissions. So I can see him getting some better use that doesn't necessarily involve luck in public tests. If he's with Cap, he can get better defense and ranged attack of 6 even w/o height.

I'd rather err on the side of caution and send him out at a higher cost than 140 or 150. Then we at least will know where his floor is at.

I also think we ought to call it Controlled Emissions 13 now so we don't have to go back and change it if we ever have another Controlled Emissions that needs to have a different d20 roll than 13.
