Any composers out there?
I certainly hope I'm not alone in this...
I personally have been composing since I was 7, and have since then (in an 11-year period) composed around 1,000 compositions for various ensembles. Anyone else? |

Re: Any composers out there?
Sure does. Whether it is actively putting pencil to paper or simply transcribing arrangements, it is still composing music for people to enjoy. People like all genres of music, including heavy metal
I, personally, compose classical/jazz music, and I also arrange music (I am currently making arrangements for a brass quintet for the HP opening this month). I lately have broken out of my comfort zone and have started writing pep tunes for marching band. |

Re: Any composers out there?
I can't read or write music, so if you mean "compose" as in writing out something on paper, not so much. But I do write songs and work out arrangements for those songs, but I have to record my ideas to get them down.

Re: Any composers out there?
I compose some jazzy songs and some more orchestral songs. I typically store all of my compositions in my head until I have time to transcribe them onto the computer.

Well met!
Funny you should ask . . . I found this while looking through some sheet music for a performance class a friend recommended: http://www.heroscapers.com/community/blog.php?b=1813 |

Re: Any composers out there?
I've composed a bit myself on the Noteworthy Composer program. I'm in the process of learning to sight read.
Strong arms and sharp steel rule this world. Never believe any different. |

Re: Any composers out there?
I'm in a band and we write a lot of our own stuff. I also like to fiddle around and make riffs up on my own. Guess which instrument I play!
