I would like to start playing this with my 5 year old daughter soon (it will be her first experience of Heroscape). What would you guys suggest for a basic version of HoSS?

Im not sure we have a basic side? Seeing how basic is super uncompetitive you could probably use the stats on the master side of the card. Give them each one life and no special abilities. Thats pretty much what basic is right?

I don't know. I only played basic when I first got into Heroscape with the Marvel set 8 years ago. I don't know what basic looks like with squads and things like that.

With my 5 year old I basically let her pick her figures. Let her count spaces, dice to roll, and attack and defense. They just have fun moving the figures and rolling the dice.

Hi all. This probably isn't the best place for this, but it's the most suitable thread I could find.

Our HoSS Codex contributor, Fi Skirata, has not been seen or heard from since March. Given that we have a fairly low volume of articles coming in at the moment, I was wondering if anyone here would like to temporarily take the post, until Fi comes back. If you're interested, I can fill you in on the details. We require a minimum activity level of once every three days.

I'm looking to make some variant HOSS cards using alternate figures that I have, such as the AT-ST Wookie Hunter. Is the background art for the factions available (e.g., for the Empire, the blank red scene that goes behind the mini portraits)?

@Grison contacted me through a PM. In case anyone else is interested, there are downloads available that have the generic HoSS-style card blanks as well as the files needed to add the blanks to MSE.
