what did you make them out of? i think they go nicely with the HS and could only look better if they were painted brown to match the sides, but that is my own opinion. i just recently found that K'NEX works too, but looks like crap with the HS landscape.........maybe i'll have to invest in some of these

uBudweiser? Uggg I couldn't get past that in the first two pics haha.
It would be cool to have markings on those pillars for hex height so you could determine height easily. |

Nice pillars and maps! Thanks for posting the pics. Any chance for a recap of the games themselves?

I know, the pillars are coming but these help us save a ton of land. we have 5 ms 3forest 2 lava and were always running out and these are very stable the pieces lock on top and we cheated and screwed on the bottoms. dont really need to but we drink too much and get sloppy. this map was bigger than most our others and we had 1ms left over at end. Oh by the way i used q9 today and he kicks ass!!

You still haven't said how you made them and what from. On a modeling-supply website, I found V-grooved sheet plastic that could be creased along selected grooves to wrap into a hexagon, but I don't think that's necessarily what you did...

these were made out of wood and a textured spraypaint, we are also going to experiment and paints up some blue and red mettallic for use in making waterfalls and volcanoes many more pics will be coming. Also going to try a 15 high set to see how stable it is. the biggest adv was the wide openness of underneath it changed the way games play out nicely. Our next project will be a nice big like 4 foot per side hexagon table. we were thinking about painting the top blue and hexing it to save 1st level water pieces. oh and ill try to drink better beer next time as to not offend thy pallette
