Photo Advice: Help!
Hi!
I'm trying to take some close up pictures of dice and have had so-so success. Is there anyone out there who can offer some advice? I'm trying to get the colors to stand out better. I suppose I could supply a link to the chessex website, but that wouldn't be as cool. Work hard, play harder! Great traders: beholderthedm, mecha frog, Shoe |

Lighting has a lot to do with it. It's just a matter of experimenting. I haven't done it for a long time but the best set up I was able to come up with was two desk mounting lamps pointed to the subject and the camera on tripod since the desk lamps do not flash.

Ok try also using the macro and zooming in...keep camera itself about 2-2.5 feet away and then zoom in. |

Put something the camera can focus on next to it.
You can crop it out later. The item your taking a photo of might not have enough colors or white space... depending on camera. |
