Re: The Book of Robot
Actually, think we could make this change? That way it has more oomph that I was looking for (Allowing Robot to attack), but the movement boosts aren't too crazy, and it doesn't stack with Carry. Is that acceptable?

Re: The Book of Robot
I think that works, yeah.
So the ultimate with him would be to get him engaged and then pair him with two figures that can wound by moving, like Archangel and Human Torch. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I also kind of feel like he's justified enough character for a third power, one to reflect his brains rather than his leadership.

Re: The Book of Robot
I guess what would be helpful for us non-non-mainstream folks is some kind of parallels drawn between the relative strengths/weaknesses/power levels of these Indy characters to our mainstream comic universes. It's hard for some of us to take the time to do our own research to make these connections, so a lot of the questions that are asked are not out of distaste for the design or the character, as much as they are just trying to see where it belongs in relation to what we do know.
Maybe if that were part of the initial write-up for the figure, some kind of "on par with" __________ language would help the rest of us. Just a thought--feel free to cuss/discuss. |

Re: The Book of Robot
Well, he's kind of like Oracle, in that he's brilliant and can come up with a plan for virtually any situation. But he's also a technological genius, building his robot automatons, which have many functions, including being similar to Iron Man's armor (Not nearly as powerful, they can't fly and don't have his arsenal, but he also goes through lots of them, so they're pretty disposable). Once when he was actually wearing the armor, he took it off and rebuilt in in battle to create a sonic disruptor to fend off an alien attack.
It's hard to pinpoint one specific character with him. So basically a combat Oracle, mixed with a bit of Iron Man/Hank Pym? |

TACTICAL ADVANTAGE 2 When rolling for initiative, you may add 2 to your roll if at least one Order Marker is on this card. He'll very likely have the Order Markers anyway, but it slows down crazy combos with him. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I guess I'm more and more wanting to get away from unrestricted boosts of any type (D20, attack/defense/move/range, initiative, etc.). If you boost with zero restriction, then it's super easy to stack your boost with other future boosts until we end up with combos the competitive players complain are broken. Putting restrictions in place every time is one way to check against combined card power creep. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
