Where are we at on this? How about an informal poll:
1. Is "The Drop" style placement the way you would like FX-7's to be placed? 2. Should there be a limit to the number that can be placed on any given turn? What would that limit be? 3. Should FX-7 healing be limited to one wound per figure being healed or should it stack? 1. Yes, drop in at the start of a round.
2. No limit. If you draft 3 of them and want to drop all 3 at one time you can. You might need to heal multiple heroes in different parts on the board after a bad round of defense rolls. 3. No stacking, otherwise you could surround a figure with 6 of them and fully heal a Vader level character at one time. |

Healing should not be limited, but stacking is probably not good. Probably need some wordsmithing here. I could see dropships dropping these guys off during the battle.

FX-7
Independent Droid Common Hero Medical Precise MEDIUM 5 Life 1 Move 0 Range 1 Attack 0 Defense 4/5? Points 30? FORWARD POSITIONING FX-7 does not start the game on the battlefield. At the start of each round, before rolling for initiative, you may place one or more FX-7's anywhere on the battlefield. NAME OF POWER After revealing an Order Marker on any Army Card you control, you must remove one wound marker from the Army Card of every Unique Hero adjacent to an FX-7. Droids and Vehicles may not remove wound markers using NAME OF POWER. I believe this does "The Drop" power, and one wound per figure adjacent. It's common and I think goes with the consensus here. So it probably needs a little editing, but this is what I think. (And sorry, that I haven't been bumping this, Summer classes are a little faster). "They are too numerous to fight. What shall we do?" Seems like a lot of healing for 30 points. Every Order Marker revealed means on average 6 healing opportunities per turn. A few armies will be able to increase that by 1 or 2 if they have an X OM reveal power. When dropped in the open, all adjacent figures makes for 7 healing spots on the map per F-X7 droid. We can either raise the points or curtail the healing but I don't see having both.

Looking back at this, we had the FX-7 performing the healing at the end of the round, but the latest version proposed by Heroscaper Guy on May 15th changes it to every time an OM is revealed. I prefer the healing at the end of the round. This mechanic gives the opponent a chance to either disrupt the healing, or get adjacent to an FX-7 to get in on the healing action. Much more intense gameplay.
