If Tehanu Stormscale would be destroyed, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 16 or higher, do not destroy him. Remove all wound markers from this card, then place 3 wound markers on this card. Until the next Order Marker is revealed, Tehanu Stormscale may not receive any additional wounds or be destroyed.

So… the figure is a Dragonspawn, not a Dragonborn, and apparently those are completely different, but who's counting? I started with Rhogar, naturally. He looks more Knightish than Paladinesque, so I took away Rhogar's healing. The breath weapon is different. "Dragonborn Zeal" adapts a D&D power of that name. It might keep him in the game, if you're lucky. I think he may be undercosted at 90, I knocked off a life to get closer to that cost but Zeal isn't really factored in yet.

This figure just looks scary, and I wanted to do something like a "Dementor" with him, hence "Death of All Hope." On average, it's about the equivalent of rolling 0.75 extra attack. Will make for a good assassin for your opponent's key Unique figures. Price is high, I could drop the Life perhaps.

Each figure rolls defense separately, may not be targeted more than once, and does not receive any bonus for height advantage. After using Fell Swoop Special Attack, Morlok may make a normal attack.

Stealth Flying
When counting spaces for Morlok’s movement, ignore elevations. Morlok may fly over water without stopping, pass over figures without becoming engaged, and fly over obstacles such as ruins. When Morlok starts to fly, if it is engaged it will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

I have no idea who the comic book "Crux" is, but the figure just looks right for 'Scape. I thought Demon, but I've got a lot of Demons, so it's some hybrid as the result of mad science. Or something, I dunno. The figure looks a lot better once you go over it with a wash, otherwise it's bright green.

If you roll a 17 or higher, you may move the figure up to 2 spaces. Figures moved by Confusion will take leaving engagement attacks and will take falling damage. Mindless, Overlord, and Psychic figures are not affected by Confusion.

Aquilla's Warsong
Once per game, if there is at least one Order Marker on this card, you may change your initiative roll to a 20.

I couldn't find many Bard customs here, so this is my initial attempt to do one. There's a bunch of "rogue" powers I could also think about including (Disarm Traps?) but I focused on her role as a cheerleader / spellcaster.

Before taking a turn with Fitz, you may take a turn with Simmons. If Simmons would receive any wounds from a normal attack and Fitz is adjacent to her, you may place all those wounds on this card instead.

Improvised Gadget
At the beginning of the round, before rolling for initiative, you may place a combat die on the Army Card of an adjacent Human, Cyborg, or Soulborg hero you control. If the die shows a skull, add 1 to its Attack. If it shows a shield, add 1 to its Defense. If it shows a blank, add 1 to its Move. Remove the die at the end of the round.

I dropped "Hacker 13" for it. It's one of those 2-in-1 powers, but I think they tie together thematically.

Bala Cynwyd is really cool!!! I like the Bard aspects and all of the powers seem like fun.

Aquilla's War Song is pretty interesting and might require a few tweaks just on the timing of the switch. but I like her!

Glad you like her! Good point on the initiative power timing, what about:

Aquilla's Warsong
Once per game, if there is at least one Order Marker on this card, after all rolls for initiative have been made you may change your initiative roll to a 20.

That way you don't "waste" the power if you'd win initiative anyway.

THEY PUT THE "CAPE" IN HEROSCAPE!

I like mixing my superheroes and my "classic" figures. The Avengers fight off the alien Marr? Dr. Doom unleashes a mechanized horde of Soulborgs? Spider_Man teams up with the Fyorlag Spiders? I mean, why not? (OK, so I'm aware of the ongoing argument of "why not," let's just assume I've come down on the "mix" side, shall we?)

But one thing about mixing has sort of bothered me: the lack of Generals on the cards. So, inspired by the Unofficial Marvel Valkyrie Draft, I've created cards for the official Marvelscape cards by Valkyrie general. (I have made a few alterations General_wise to that poll. Feel free to kibitz. There's a thread here.)

I'm also adapting cards made by c3g and Sherman Davies. Watch the skies!

So I made a different decision here than the original draft. I can see Vydar (all that tech!) but to me Doom is just Too Darn Evil not to be summoned by Utgar. Can you see Agent Carr working along with Dr. Doom?

I didn't agree with the Ullar here, and was going to put him in Utgar. But I decided to put him in Vydar instead, based on his "Vigilante" class and some reading up on Eddie Brock. I could be convinced otherwise by those who know the character better.

I have a semi_random assortment of superhero figures, and I've been looking for the right cards for them. I've always liked Matt Helm's "lunch box" approach to superhero design. While I really admire what the c3g has accomplished, it's a mostly closed system. I finally settled on using (mostly) designs by @Sherman Davies . For one, he's a great guy and I've actually had the chance to 'Scape with him a few times. Secondly, they're designed for mixed play with classics (although the Valkyrie addition is my own). And thirdly, sticking with (mostly) one designer means these heroes are tested with and against each other, and that they should work together. (Fourthly, he said it was OK!) So with his kind permission, here are my adapted comics cards! (sd = Sherman Davies, in case that wasn't obvious. Also, I've thrown in my "Agents of SHIELD" ones here.)

If you're seeking a consistent "look" for the cards, move on! I'm using whatever art strikes my fancy (and fits on the card well).

So as you can see from the post above, I'm attempting to slot superheroes into the world of Valhalla. I've assigned the official Marvelscape guys to the 7 Generals. I also have a small collection of Heroclix that I'm going to make cards for -- some C3G, most taken from others' designs. So the question is, with what General do I place these heroes? Your input and advice is needed!

Considerations for General Assignment are the same as those I use with customs. In rough order:

• The moral alignment of each General. I have used the D&D alignment below, which I think maps pretty well.
• The "character" of each general, as expressed by the dominant personalities of his units (also listed below).
• The type of units (race, class) in that general's army.
• Any potential synergy.
• Color scheme.

• Jandar: Valiant, Precise. Lawful Good.
• Ullar: Tricky, Valiant, Precise. Lawful Neutral.
• Aquilla: Ferocious, Fearsome, Resolute. Chaotic Good.
• Einar: Disciplined. Lawful Neutral.
• Vydar: Tricky, Disciplined. True Neutral.
• Utgar: Wild, Terrifying, Tricky, Relentless. Lawful & Neutral Evil.
• Valkrill: Relentless, Merciless. Chaotic (& Neutral?) Evil.

With those as a given, how do these assignments look?

• Ant-Man: Aquilla, because bugs.
• Batgirl: Jandar?
• Batman: Einar. Too brooding for Jandar, "discplined" Einar seems like a good choice.
• Black Widow: Vydar. Given her history, and her agent status, Vydar is the clear choice.
• Catwoman: Vydar. The classic "true neutral".
• Doctor Octopus: Utgar. Evil.
• Doctor Strange: Ullar. There aren't many supers that seem to fit with Ullar, but he's got the most spellcasters. I can see Dr. Strange and Ulginesh having some arcane conversation.
• Doombot: Utgar. To go with the good Doctor Doom.
• Fire Ant Swarm: Aquilla. Again, bugs.
• Flash: Jandar? Aquilla? My conception of Flash is that he's the "trickster" of the JLA, which would lean toward Aquilla's chaotic good, but that he's morally of the lawful good persuasion?
• Green Arrow: Ullar. Because green. And archers.
• Hawkeye: Einar. The color scheme. And archers.
• Joker: Valkrill. Chaos for its own sake.
• Loki: Valkrill. Evil + trickster = Valkrill
• Nick Fury: Vydar. Agent, with lots of Agent synergy.
• Riddler: Utgar. Bad guy.
• Robin: Jandar? Aquilla?
• Scarecrow: Valkrill. Another chaos-sower.
• Superman: Jandar, no question.
• Thor: Aquilla? Jandar? Ullar? I don't really know where to put him.
• Wasp: Aquilla? Ullar?
• Wonder Woman: Jandar, again no question.
