I love that we've all gotten so exacting about wording around here.
I also love that Skrull Warriors card. Will probably steal liberally from it (if not copy it outright) for my own version some day. |

Yeah, we're more particular than the creators were. Notice how "soldier" is lowercase in wave 2 but "Soldier" is capital in wave 8. Nice.
I'll leave it up to A3n whether he wants "Lawmen" or "lawmen". And feel free to take what you want, there is 100% sharing with Helm/A3n cards. And as you know, Sherman Davies cards (as is) hit my game table once in a while. Last edited by Matt Helm; June 20th, 2010 at 09:46 PM. |

Excellent A3n, and thanks for the support Confred.
Next up is possibly the most difficult to cost. I was hoping to finalize Bucky as a "two part" figure. The first part is to help Captain America (or the Airborne Elite) as a true sidekick. By being at Cap's side, he can give Cap the attack bonus that Cap seems to give everyone else. A nice little tandem they would make, especially if Bucky can get some height next to Cap. Then comes part 2 where he unexpectedly returns as the Winter Soldier. In most games, you have a 50/50 shot of getting back yourself as a slightly more powerful card. But you also have a 50/50 shot of adding a decent ranged attacker being added to your opponent's army. Obviously, when playing with more than one opponent, he may not be a smart draft. I can say that in a 4 player (2 on 2) game I once played with the original version, he was a fun element of the game as he switched sides twice. Even though he never really helped either side, it was always an emotional victory when he showed up on your team. Anyway, so this is what I've got....

HUMAN UNIQUE HERO SOLDIER LOYAL MEDIUM 5 LIFE: 4 MOVE: 5 RANGE: 5 ATTACK: 3 DEFENSE: 4 Points: 80 SOLDIER SIDEKICK All soldiers you control adjacent to Bucky add 1 extra die to their attack. RISE OF THE WINTER SOLDIER When any player reveals Order Marker 1 after Bucky has been destroyed, before taking that turn, that player may roll the 20-sided die. If that player rolls a 19 or higher, that player takes control of this card. The controlling player may immediately place Bucky on a space adjacent to any figure they control and remove all Wound Markers on Bucky's card. For the remainder of the game, any time Bucky is not adjacent to a friendly figure, the controlling player may add 1 to Bucky’s Range, Attack and Defense. In his special attack, the last line that currently reads "can pass through any figure..." should be changed to "can move through all figures..." P.S. Did I mention that I love the way this card looks? The background is phenomenal. |

And for my third post in a row, I'm ready to Helisize Falcon. So here's what I'm thinking. Falcon should be a support player for one other figure you control. Optimally it would be Captain America, but it doesn't have to be.
Bucky (listed a few posts earlier) is basically an "add-on" for any soldiers you control. He's the mascot that gives them a little boost. For a few points you can help your military army and Cap in particular. Falcon is more of an equal partnership. Draft him to help out one of your figures, but while that figure is in the game, Falcon is a better offensive weapon. So here's the thematic thinking, when flying around in the vicinity of his partner, Falcon gets the inspired advantage to strike harder on opponents who may be focused on his partner, and at the same time, he is distracting enough to help his partner's defense. So now why partner him with Cap instead of a hard to kill spidey or a powerhouse Hulk? Well partner him with whomever you wish, but Counter Strike gets that much nastier with a bonus defense die. HUMAN UNIQUE HERO ADVENTURER DISCIPLINED MEDIUM 5 LIFE: 4 MOVE: 6 RANGE: 1 ATTACK: 4 DEFENSE: 4 Points: 130 PARTNER LOYALTY At the start of the game, choose a Unique Hero you control to be Falcon’s partner. When his chosen partner is within 5 clear sight spaces, Falcon rolls 1 additional attack die and his chosen partner rolls 1 additional defense die. Partner Loyalty does not affect Falcon or his chosen partner if Falcon is adjacent to his chosen partner. FLYING When counting spaces for Falcon’s movement, ignore elevations. Falcon may fly over water without stopping, pass over figures without becoming engaged, and fly over obstacles such as ruins.
