Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Toad)
Yeah, Tongue Lash is actually pretty sweet if you can set it up right. It’s not hard to get 2+ LEAs on an enemy with it. Probably pairs great with Ragdoll or similar units that can “stick” to the enemy, allowing you to roll LEAs over and over.
Caustic Phlegm is really the bummer on the card for me, but it has its uses as a ranged attack if you miss the Tongue Lash roll. |

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Toad)
Why is Caustic Phlegm a bummer? The range on it is low, but a special attack is a valuable tool to have and getting it in a low cost form is nice.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Toad)
Bummer might be a strong word. I just feel like I’m pretty consistently ignoring it, especially when Toad has such an easy time yanking people to low ground. Definitely has its uses, but it’s also the part of the card I’m using the least, by a wide margin.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Pyro)
Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?
Quote:
One of these things is not like the other: Toad amazingly slipped his way into the very first series of Marvel Legends figures in 2002, all due to a cancelled 2 pack that would have featured the Ray Park version and this comic version. Being an outsider, he didn't blend with the other Marvel Legends figures. More detailed, but not matching the style or articulation of a "Marvel Legend." A base borrowed from a Man-Spider figure and a toad permanently affixed to his hand. Soon to hit 19 years later, Marvel Legends continues to this day, without ever producing another Toad figure. That wasn't strategy related, but I'm happy to hear all the utility this guy offers in C3G. |

lol love how he's just picking up an actual toad and staring at it.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Toad)
I usually get quite a bit of use out of Toad. All of his abilities are extremely useful, and 4 life 4 defense isn't terrible for his cost. There's just plenty of flashier guys to pick over him.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Toad)
I have the Wolverine and the X-Men figure for him, looks much better than the old playdoh version and just ready to hop. Has pretty wide glutes, but I suppose you would with having a toad power set and all.

Re: C3G Strategy/Competitive Discussion (Unit Rankings)
For the next week or so, feel free to post your rankings of the units we've talked about so far! This is also a good time for general discussion on the factions thst have been posted. I'll be following the 5 star system Yodaking posted, and the format the Bats used in his post :

After the week is out, I'll average out the numerical rankings for each unit, so people have a general idea on how that unit performs. |

Here's my rankings, pretty similar to Bats. Not familiar with all of them, so I didn't rank a few.
