Plus, I feel simpler is better for this design in particular, even though I like the concept of it, as this design already has a lot going on without it.
For the record, I'm for complexity and simplicity where and when they make the most sense for the character and mechanics. |

If you're going to go simple, just stick with what you have. I think the idea of a separate battlefield keeps coming up because it was creative and fun, but if the LD doesn't like it, the LD doesn't like it.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I like the idea of the separate battlefield in theory, and I think that's interesting design space... but asking people to set aside an extra set of a rare Unique Squad kind of kills it for me, as does the fact that, as pointed out, he can't die/be defeated in the afterlife. Cool idea, non-starter in practice.
The Deadside Track sounds great, though. May not change the mechanics, but it helps it to be more evocative and to clarify the theme for those who aren't familiar with the character - both deeply important, IMO. |

_____________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Gilad offers a lot of tactical flexibility and is cheap warrior to boon a Martian Manhunter build. His pairing with Diana is strong, but by no means unbeatable. Movement counters like Reed and Blob definitely shut him down, and even with people not wanting to start engaged he's not too overbearing. GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: He isn't an oppressive figure at all. He looks a bit odd given how little he's swinging here, but that's mainly due to who he's paired with. There will be builds where he is one of the biggest hitters, but when paired with folks like Spawn or Wonder Woman, you definitely want them hogging the OMs. There we go then. Five games down, I'm feeling good about him so far. His strongest pairings don't seem to bad, so I'll wait and hear feedback and see if anyone has anything else they want to see here. He still needs to be tested with X reveal folks to come back faster, but I'm not worried about that one, especially seeing the timing on his deaths in these games. While we are voting, might be good to bring up a real decision on species for this guy.
He's the son of a tribal woman from Ancient Mesopotamia. This woman (Anni) became pregnant with the triplets (the brothers) by eating from the Magic Tree that turned her into the first of the Geomancers. Their immortality was given by The Boon, an artifact from a realm outside space and time. So, not clear enough to really give an alternative, but definitely enough to question just human. |

Has Immortal been proposed? Otherwise I think we should be fine with just Human, they’re basically close enough (right?) and we have far more powerful Humans (Lanterns, Nova) so they’re not throwing off game balance or anything.
