Re: RPG-Suggestions/Recommendations
I gotta push Ephemeris. It is a new Sci-Fi RPG. Check out the links bellow to learn more about it. I've written a supplement for it that has been accepted and once editing is done it'll be available as an e-book at DriveThru RPGs. So I am very much recommending this system.
The Ephemeris webpage: http://www.nomadicdeliriumpress.com/ephemeris/main.htm The Amazon page: http://www.amazon.com/dp/0980170311 The Nomadic Delirium Press page at DriveThru RPG, where you can buy e-book versions of the rulebook and the first adventure: http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/index....turers_id=2805 The Ephemeris merchandise page: http://www.cafepress.com/ephemeris |

Re: RPG-Suggestions/Recommendations
Once again here's my yearly, shameless plug! And the best thing is that all of these rules are Free!
The best game none of you are playing is Dark City Games "Legends of the Ancient World". http://www.darkcitygames.com/ It's a combination of a miniatures skirmish game and an RPG. The basic rules are free and are only 7 small pages long (there is rumor of an Advanced game coming out soon). It doesn't look like much but it's a blast. There are also two free, short adventures so you can try it out before you even purchase anything. Legends is similar to Melee and Wizards (they are completely compatible). These games were at one time only 2nd to D&D in sales and have been out of print for over 30 years. The basic rules can be found at: http://bluwiki.com/go/Tft-melee http://bluwiki.com/go/Tft-wizard You can read reviews of the games here. The first one is from our very own Drakes Flames! http://drakesflames.blogspot.com/sea...ark+city+games http://www.blackgate.com/dark-city-games-reviews/ My Custom Terrain Thread: http://www.heroscapers.com/community...read.php?t=448 Last edited by Grishnakh; August 19th, 2009 at 01:45 PM. |

Re: RPG-Suggestions/Recommendations
Forgive me for bumping an almost decade old post:

I played The Fantasy Trip back in the 80s/90s and completely forgot about them until I saw your posts on how to flock hexes back in 07. That lead to a decade of getting back into TFT and playing through the bulk of the DCG modules. I am nearing completion on my collections for both game series. If anyone has not tried a TFT/DCG game, do yourself a favor and grab one of the free campaigns on the Dark City Games site. The campaign is half boardgame half choose your own adventure book. And are easily played solo or as a group. Best of all, Heroscape tiles and figures can be used for it, or you can use the chits and keep the entire game in you pocket (albeit a very large pocket). |
